Installation method of Bonn instrument microwave vehicle detector

The installation methods of microwave traffic detectors can be divided into forward installation and lateral installation.
According to the principle of microwave operation, the lateral installation detection speed is the average speed of each vehicle within a certain distance, while the forward installation uses the Doppler effect to detect the real-time speed of each vehicle. Other measurement parameters are the same. Forward installation of each device can only detect information from one lane, and multiple detection devices are required to detect vehicle information from multiple lanes. Moreover, forward installation requires the installation of suspended door frames, and construction in the middle of the road needs to interrupt traffic. Considering both installation cost and convenience, it is recommended to use a lateral installation method.
Factors to consider for lateral installation:
Ø Number of lanes to be detected and position of pillars to be checked
The influence of median strip and shoulder width
In order to reduce the occurrence of large vehicle obstruction, the installation height of BN-M-11 should be as high as possible, such as 7 meters above the ground. The installation column of BN-M-11 must be set outside the front detection area, and the rear distance (rear distance, which is the distance to the nearest lane to be detected) must ensure that the beam projection can cover all lanes to be detected, while ensuring that the projection is orthogonal to the detection road. Selecting the appropriate installation height and reasonable rear distance based on the number of lanes to be detected by BN-M-11 can ensure the reception of reflected signals from the side of the vehicle.

Engineering conditions for system implementation
1) Column
Select existing roadside pillars or rebuild pillars; The reference installation formula for column height is generally 5-8.0 meters, with an outer diameter of not less than 16 centimeters;
2) Equipment power supply
General lighting power supply 220 ± 20V AC 50-60Hz, 80mA;
Convenient location for accessing electricity;
3) Installation tools
During the installation process, the detector needs to be installed at a height of about 6 meters (depending on road conditions), so it requires multi-directional rotating support from a tall vehicle. Or a zigzag ladder not less than 6 meters high, equipped with worker safety belts and reflective vests.
4) Lightning/Surge Protection
Due to the fact that the general installation location is located next to a relatively open highway, lightning protection issues need to be considered, and lightning protection devices need to be installed on the columns in coordination; If the power supply voltage at the installation site is not stable enough, an anti surge module needs to be added to prevent high current from damaging the equipment;
5) Client side
The client requires a computer to receive data (Windows 2000 or above operating system). If users wish to use wireless transmission, they need to provide a fixed public IP address.
