Suggestions for Selection and Replacement Cycle Management of Garage Exhaust Gas Purifier Filter Cartridge
Date: 2025-07-18Read: 26
  Garage exhaust purifierAs an important equipment for improving air quality in enclosed spaces such as underground garages, car repair workshops, and 4S stores, its core function relies on an internal multi-stage filter system. The filter element, as the core consumable of the purifier, directly affects the purification efficiency and operating cost of the equipment. Therefore, scientific selection and reasonable formulation of replacement cycles are key to ensuring the long-term efficient operation of equipment.
1、 Common filter types and applicable scenarios
1. Primary filter screen (G-grade filter)
Mainly used to intercept large particles of dust, hair, and suspended solids, extending the lifespan of subsequent filter cartridges. Suitable for all types of purifiers, usually made of metal mesh or non-woven fabric material, washable and reusable.
2. Medium efficiency filter (F-grade filter)
Capturing small particles, such as pollutants below PM10, is commonly used to increase overall filtration load and is suitable for large parking lots or maintenance workshops with high traffic volume.
3. Activated carbon filter cartridge
It has good adsorption capacity for harmful gases such as CO, NOx, benzene derivatives, VOCs, etc., and is a key component for removing odors and toxic substances, especially suitable for new energy vehicle charging stations or places where vehicles are frequently started.
4. HEPA high-efficiency filter
Capable of intercepting over 99.97% of 0.3 μ m particles, suitable for environments with high PM2.5 requirements, such as underground garages or office parking spaces.
5. Photocatalysis/Ozone Module (optional)
Using ultraviolet radiation to irradiate TiO ₂ catalyst, further decompose organic pollutants, suitable for high pollution density areas or places with high air quality requirements.

2、 Suggestions for managing the replacement cycle of filter cartridges
The service life of filter cartridges is affected by various factors such as frequency of use, degree of air pollution, and environmental humidity. General suggestion:
1. Initial filter screen: Clean it every 1-2 months and decide whether to replace it based on the degree of dirt and stains;
2. Medium efficiency filter: Replace once every 6-12 months;
3. Activated carbon filter: Replace it 8-12 months, and if the odor worsens significantly, replace it in advance;
4. HEPA filter: to be replaced every 12 to 18 months, it is recommended to use a differential pressure sensor to determine the timing of replacement;
5. Photocatalytic module: does not require frequent replacement, but the surface of the lamp tube needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain activity.
3、 Intelligent monitoring and maintenance optimization
modernGarage exhaust purifierWe have gradually equipped ourselves with an intelligent control system, which enables real-time monitoring of filter status through pressure sensors, air quality detectors, etc. It also supports remote alarm prompts for replacement time on mobile phones, greatly improving operation and maintenance efficiency and reducing manual inspection costs.
The selection of filter cartridges should be matched with actual usage scenarios and pollutant characteristics, while the replacement cycle should be flexibly adjusted based on operating data and environmental conditions. Establishing a scientific filter management system can not only effectively ensure the purification effect, but also extend the service life of equipment, reduce operating costs, and provide strong support for building a green and healthy indoor air environment.
