The standard length of this product is 5 meters, driven by a 24VDC power supply. The voltage drop at the end of each specification product is strictly controlled within 10% to ensure that there is no significant brightness difference in the overall light strip. If connected in series, it will cause a step difference in the overall brightness of the product, seriously affecting the lighting quality. Therefore, this product does not support serial connection. If you need to cut it short, please follow the recommended steps in the installation manual.

2、 Will the casing crack? The dropper strip looks much stronger!

The material of the casing is very particular. A large portion of the sleeves on the market are made of PVC, which lacks UV resistance. This means that over time, these sleeves will yellow, age, and crack, affecting the quality of light. More seriously, they may leak, burn out, or short circuit.

Dropping glue light strips are usually made with waterproof dripping glue technology on the front and no waterproof protection on the back, which poses risks when used outdoors.

4、 What if Philips doesn't have a waterproof power supply?

At present, Philips does not have a waterproof power supply available. The reason is that the power supply achieves an IP65 protection level through glue filling, which requires high requirements for the glue filling process and heat resistance of electronic components. As a result, the cost is quite high and the price is expensive.

Usually, when installing, purchase an empty electrical box with IP65 or higher waterproof rating. If possible, the power supply can also be installed indoors.

5、 What should I do if there is no waterproof connector for the waterproof light strip?
The contact of the waterproof connector, the tightness of the two terminals of the waterproof connector, and the ease of operation of the waterproof connector all determine whether the connector can be waterproof and work properly. A pair of waterproof connectors on the market that can pass Philips IP65 testing and obtain CQC certification are very expensive.
