Is it necessary to replace the natural gas filter cartridge
Date: 2025-10-10Read: 2
Jiahe Filter Factory kindly reminds that the replacement of natural gas filters is necessary, and its importance is mainly reflected in the following aspects.
1、 Failure to replace the filter function for a long time can lead to clogging of the filter element, making it unable to effectively filter metal impurities, water vapor, and particulate matter (such as rust spots, engine oil residue, etc.) from natural gas. These impurities can accelerate the wear of key components such as gas nozzles and injection valves, causing abnormal gas supply pressure and even equipment damage.
2、 Suggested replacement cycle: replace the low-pressure filter every 15000-20000 kilometers, and regularly clean or replace the LNG filter element.
Environmental factors: In dusty or high humidity environments, the cycle should be shortened to within 10000 kilometers; Performance monitoring: If there is a decrease in engine power, fluctuations in air supply pressure, or a filter transmittance below 60%, it should be replaced immediately.
3、 Before replacing, the gas supply pipeline must be closed and pressure relief treatment must be completed to avoid the risk of high-pressure LNG leakage.
Do not use gasoline or water to clean the filter element. It is recommended to have a professional operate it.
4、 Overdue use may result in filter failure, leading to a decrease in combustion efficiency, an increase in fuel consumption of 10% -15%, and potential issues such as carbon deposition and detonation. In severe cases, impurities may enter the cylinder, which may cause mechanical damage such as increased clearance between piston rings.
In summary, regularly replacing natural gas filters is a key measure to ensure engine performance, extend equipment life, and ensure driving safety.
