A method for in situ transplantation of mouse lung cancer
Date: 2025-11-28Read: 1

We introduce an in situ mouse model of lung cancer that utilizes direct injection of cancer cells into lung tissue, allowing for many potential studies.

The specific experimental process is as follows:

1. Prepare cancer cells for injection;

2. Anesthesia of C57 mice;

3. Iodine disinfection;

4. Cut a skin incision of approximately 1 cm horizontally at the lower edge of the left scapula, about 0.5 cm away;

5. Separate and widen the incision area to ensure that all layers are cut open and the ribs are visible, revealing the light pink structure of the lungs beneath the chest cavity;

Slowly inject 20ul of cancer cells between ribs 5 and 6, and the lungs of mice are widest and thickest in this area;

7. Close the incision.
