Acrylic drying ovenScientific maintenance needs to be based on users' full understanding of material properties. By implementing environmental control measures, standardizing operating procedures, and regular maintenance, the occurrence of yellowing and deformation problems can be effectively prevented.
1、 Common Problems and Cause Analysis
Acrylic drying oven mainly faces two major problems during use: yellowing and deformation. Yellowing is mainly caused by molecular chain breakage and the formation of chromophores due to UV irradiation, high-temperature oxidation, and chemical erosion. Experiments have shown that acrylic sheets continuously exposed to ultraviolet radiation can increase their yellowing index by more than 30% within 6 months. The deformation problem mainly stems from the thermal expansion differences caused by mechanical stress concentration and temperature changes. When the ambient temperature exceeds the thermal deformation temperature of acrylic (about 90-100 ℃), the material will gradually soften and deform. In addition, improper cleaning methods and usage habits can also accelerate the occurrence of these problems.
2、 Key maintenance measures for preventing yellowing
Multiple measures need to be taken to prevent yellowing of the drying oven. Firstly, the usage environment should be controlled to avoid direct sunlight. It is recommended to place the drying oven away from windows or use blackout curtains for protection. Secondly, strictly controlling the working temperature and keeping the temperature inside the box below 60 ℃ can significantly reduce the risk of thermal oxidation. In terms of cleaning and maintenance, neutral cleaning agents (pH 6-8) and soft non-woven fabrics should be used for wiping, avoiding the use of cleaning products containing organic solvents or abrasives. Special acrylic polishing agent can be used for maintenance once a month, which can restore the surface glossiness to over 90%. It is worth noting that the cleaning frequency should not be too high, and it is recommended to clean 1-2 times a week.
3、 Scientific maintenance methods for preventing deformation
Preventing deformation requires two aspects: usage habits and daily maintenance. When in use, items should be evenly placed to avoid long-term loading on one side exceeding 70% of the design capacity. Temperature regulation should be gradual, and it is recommended to increase or decrease the temperature at a rate not exceeding 5 ℃ per minute. In terms of maintenance, regularly check the fasteners of the box structure to ensure that all connecting parts are not loose. A horizontal calibration of the box can be conducted once every quarter, using a spirit level for testing, and the deviation should be controlled within 0.5 °. When slight deformation is found, the hot air shaping method can be used for correction: uniformly heat the deformed area with hot air at around 80 ℃, then apply appropriate external force to restore it to its original state, and finally slowly cool and shape it.
4、 Comprehensive maintenance plan and precautions
Suggest developing graded maintenance plans for weeks, months, and quarters. Conduct basic cleaning and visual inspection every week; Monthly deep cleaning and inspection of sealing performance; Conduct a comprehensive inspection of structural stability and functionality every quarter. When moving the drying oven, two people must cooperate to avoid unilateral force. When storing a backup drying oven, it should be placed vertically, with an ambient temperature between 15-25 ℃ and a relative humidity of 40% -60%. Special attention: It is strictly prohibited to use organic solvents such as acetone and chloroform to clean the surface of acrylic, as these solvents can cause the material surface to dissolve within 30 seconds. When severe yellowing (a decrease in light transmittance of more than 40%) or structural deformation occurs, it is recommended to contact professional personnel for repair or replacement.
