The use of sulfur dioxide alarms requires three core processes: installation, operation, and maintenance. The specific methods are as follows:
Location Selection
heightAdjust the installation height according to the gas density. Sulfur dioxide has a higher density than air and should be installed at a distance from the ground30-60 centimetersPoint upwards and approach potential sources of leakage (such as pipelines and valves). If the measured gas density is lower than that of air, the probe should be installed at a distance from the roof30-60 centimetersThe direction is downwards.
environmentAvoid areas with high temperatures (>70 ℃), high humidity (>90% RH), strong electromagnetic interference (such as high-power motors), as well as unstable airflow locations such as ventilation openings, door and window edges, and near fans. The open environment needs to focus on monitoring the gas diffusion path, and the distance between the probe and the release source in the enclosed factory should not be greater than1 meter.
layoutPlaces with significant leakage risks, each10-20 metersSet up a detection point; Unmanned small pump rooms should be equipped with detectors at the air outlet; When the leakage state is micro leakage, the probe is close to the leakage point; When there is a jet like leak, the probe should be slightly away from the leak point.
Installation method
fixed installationAdopting wall mounted, bracket mounted, or pipe mounted methods, fixed with expansion bolts to ensure firmness. Suggested installation height160-170 centimetersEasy to repair.
Wiring specifications: Usetri-core shielded cable(Single core wire diameter ≥ 0.75mm), the shielding layer and controller casing should be reliably grounded. If RVV cables are used, they need to be threaded through metal pipes and grounded. The wiring sequence is: V positive pole, S signal, G negative pole, chassis ground (shielding network), connected to the corresponding terminal of the controller.
Explosion-proof requirementsExplosion proof equipment should be used in explosion-proof places to avoid damaging the probe during installation (the sensor is composed of platinum wire coils and rare metals, which are vulnerable).
Power on self-test
After connecting the power, the alarm will automatically preheat60-100 secondsComplete self check and enter monitoring mode. If there is no display or abnormal alarm function on the screen, check the power connection or equipment failure.
Alarm value setting
Low limit alarm (Level 1)Usually set as2-5ppmPrompt operators to monitor concentration changes.
Medium limit alarm (Level 2): Set as5-10ppmImmediate action is required (such as increasing ventilation).
High limit alarm (Level 3): Set as10ppm以上Triggering an alarm (sound and light+vibration), personnel should evacuate immediately and activate emergency measures.
Setup methodEnter the mode through a dedicated setting key or combination key, enter the administrator password (to prevent accidental changes), adjust the alarm values at all levels as needed, and save them.
calibration cycle
each3-6 monthsCalibrate once with standard gas to ensure detection accuracy. Calibration method: Use standard gas within the range, match with pressure reducing valve and flow meter, and adjust the output flow rate500ml/minInsert the calibration cover and observe for 2 minutes until the data stabilizes.
Cleaning and maintenance
Regularly clean the sensor to avoid dust and oil pollution. If the sensor is contaminated or interfered with, it needs to be cleaned or replaced with professional tools.
Sensor replacement
The lifespan of sensors is usually1-2 yearsIt needs to be replaced promptly after expiration. Power off operation is required during replacement to prevent damage to the host.
Record and Inspection
Record each calibration and maintenance, and regularly check the equipment status (such as appearance and alarm function). If significant errors or calibration failures are found, contact professional personnel for repair.
Alarm response
When an alarm is triggered, the device emits sound and light signals, and the display screen shows the concentration value and alarm information. Operators should immediately evacuate the scene, ventilate and investigate the source of leakage. Do not touch the power supply or turn off the alarm (which may cause electric sparks).
Linkage function
Link the alarm with the ventilation system, emergency shut-off valve and other equipment to ensure automatic activation of emergency measures in case of leakage and reduce the risk of accidents.
