This type of disc can also be used between membranes in combination filters. This chemically inert support disc has various diameter specifications available for different devices.
The Whatman membrane filtration experimental accessory polyester drainage support disc is used together with the membrane container to provide additional support for the membrane, increasing flow rate and flux. Polyester drainage support disc does not contain adhesive, with a thickness of about 100 μ m and a smooth surface, eliminating tearing or cracking during filtration.
