What are the possible reasons that may cause the Roots blower to blow out hot air

The Roots blower is different from traditional blowers in that it uses two blade shaped rotors to move relative to each other in a cylinder to compress and transport gas in a rotary compressor. This type of compressor relies on synchronous gears at the rotor shaft end to keep the two rotors in mesh. Each concave curved surface on the rotor forms a working volume with the inner wall of the cylinder. During the rotation of the rotor, gas is taken away from the intake port. When it is moved to the vicinity of the exhaust port and connected to the exhaust port, there is a sudden increase in pressure in the working volume due to the reflux of high-pressure gas. Then, the gas is transported to the exhaust channel. The two rotors work alternately in sequence. The two rotors are not in contact with each other and are sealed by a tightly controlled gap, so the discharged gas is not contaminated by lubricating oil.
According to the shape of the rotor, Roots blowers are divided into two blade and three blade types. The three bladed rotor undergoes three suction and exhaust cycles with two rotors per rotation. Compared with the two blade type, the gas pulsation is smaller, the vibration is also smaller, and the noise is lower.
What are the possible reasons that may cause the Roots blower to blow out hot air
1. Compulsory transportation
When a Roots blower transports gas, it is necessary to forcibly compress the fan. When choosing a fan, there is a main working pressure parameter, such as 39kpa. When the blower compresses air, it can withstand a relatively high working pressure of 39kpa. When the working pressure of the pipeline exceeds 39kpa, the impeller acts on the gas inside the fan, converting the kinetic energy of the impeller into thermal energy of the gas, causing the gas temperature to rise. Forced air compression operation can cause heat generation, therefore, the exhaust gas from the blower is at a certain temperature.
2. Temperature
When transporting gas, the temperature is usually controlled below 40 ℃ and above 40 ℃. According to the characteristics of various fields of general fans, the regulations are relatively high, and it is impossible to maintain good transportation efficiency. When the blower transports gas, the inlet and outlet temperatures should be kept below 100 ℃ as much as possible. If it exceeds 100 ℃, the oil tank must be water-cooled for heat dissipation. If the working pressure of the blower used by people is high, a bipolar series fan must be selected, and the cooling tower must be modified to water-cooled the gas.
3. The harm of high temperature to fans
High temperature can damage the oil tank, hydraulic seals, and rolling bearings of the fan. If severe, the fan will stop working due to malfunction. In daily inspections, it is necessary to check and record the temperature of the fan casing, rolling bearings, and car fuel tank.
After the Roots blower is running normally, the operator should closely monitor the operation status of all components, observe the temperature of each part of the machine, the vibration of the machine, and the noise of the muffler at any time. If there are any abnormalities, the machine should be stopped immediately.
