2) Select ventilation fans for different purposes based on the physical and chemical properties of the gas they transport. Explosion proof ventilation fans should be selected for transporting special gases; Dust or coal powder ventilation fans should be selected for dust removal or coal powder transportation; For the transportation of corrosive gases, anti-corrosion ventilation fans should be selected; High temperature ventilation fans should be selected for working or transporting high-temperature gases in high-temperature environments.
3) When there are two or more types of ventilation fans available for selection on the performance chart, priority should be given to choosing the one with higher efficiency, smaller machine number, and larger adjustment range. Of course, comparisons should also be made to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.
4) If the selected fan impeller diameter is much larger than the original fan impeller diameter, in order to utilize the original motor shaft, bearings, and supports, it is necessary to calculate the starting time of the motor, the strength of the original fan components, and the critical speed of the shaft.
5) When choosing a centrifugal fan, if the motor power it is equipped with is less than or equal to 75KW, a valve only for starting may not be installed. When using a centrifugal boiler induced draft fan to discharge high-temperature flue gas or air, a starting valve should be installed to prevent overload during cold operation.
6) For ventilation systems with noise reduction requirements, the first step is to choose ventilation fans with high efficiency and low impeller circumferential velocity, and operate them at the maximum efficiency point; Corresponding noise reduction and vibration reduction measures should also be taken based on the propagation mode of noise and vibration generated by the ventilation system. The vibration reduction measures for ventilation fans and electric motors can generally be based on vibration reduction foundations, such as spring dampers or rubber dampers.
7) When choosing ventilation fans, it is advisable to avoid using fans in parallel or series. When unavoidable, choose ventilation fans of the same model and energy to work together. When using series connection, there should be a certain pipeline connection between the first level ventilation fan and the second level ventilation fan.
8) The selected fresh air fan should consider fully utilizing the existing equipment, being suitable for on-site production and installation, and ensuring safe operation.
