KEYSTONE FAR1 discontinued GR model GRL GRW GRF upgrade replacement
Date: 2014-02-12Read: 24

Bintel Valve&Control, a global manufacturer and seller of valves, actuators, and control products, announced the launch of the Keystone GR series high load industrial butterfly valves. This product is mainly designed for conventional industrial applications and large-size pipeline conditions. This series of butterfly valves has three connection methods: lug (GRL), clamp (GRW), and double flange (GRF), achieving longer service life and lower total cost of ownership with higher stability and reliability.

The upgraded Keystone GR series valve with a standardized design has a series of advantages, including the design of the Bintel polymer seat, which gives the valve high pressure resistance and wear resistance. The high stability, durability, and reliability of this series of products enable users to reduce their total cost of ownership.

In addition, the GR series adopts the standard configuration of ductile iron valve body material, which gives the valve higher strength. The high pressure bearing and anti blowout valve stem design can provide better safety assurance for on-site workers.

For over 50 years, Keystone has been a valve brand that represents ultra-high quality and performance in the hearts of customers. The newly launched GR series will once again demonstrate the performance of Keystone products - they will exceed customer expectations. ”According to Joanne Lunsford, a product of Pentax valves and control butterfly valves.

The Keystone GR series has outstanding features and complies with a series of specifications. For example, the valve body positioning hole not only facilitates the installation and centering of the valve between the pipeline flanges, but also its elongated valve neck can meet the thickness requirements of the pipeline and insulation layer. The bearings at the top and bottom can increase support, reduce friction, and decrease torque, while the top shaft sleeve can absorb the lateral thrust of the actuator.

The sealing force of the primary valve stem exceeds the rated pressure of the valve, which can prevent the medium from penetrating or leaking into the air. The secondary valve stem seal serves as an auxiliary seal to provide safety assurance. In addition, GRL and GRW valves with diameters of DN300 (NPS 12) and below, as well as GRF valves with diameters of DN1050-1800 (NPS 42-72), adopt a two-stage stem design, reducing the thickness of the valve plate and minimizing flow resistance to the greatest extent possible.

According to the manufacturing specifications of ASME and ISO, the new GRL, GRW, and GRF valves adopt a one-piece valve body design and comply with EN 593 and API 609 standards, as well as PED certification (97/23/EU) module B1+D and CE certification. In addition, the Keystone GR series has obtained numerous certifications, including KIWA, ABS, WRAS, and NSF/ANSI STD 61.

The size range of GRL and GRW valves is DN50 to DN900 (NPS 2-36), suitable for various applications in the power, mining, oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, and water industries.

GRF covers larger sizes, ranging from DN600 to DB1800 (NPS 24-72), making it a more ideal choice for industrial water treatment industries such as power, desalination, and filtration, as well as mining, oil and gas, chemical applications, and manufacturing industries.
