Multi in one hydrogen (H ₂) detector: comprehensively addressing the safety challenges in lithium battery production
Date: 2025-12-29Read: 4

Hydrogen (H ₂) is increasingly widely used as a clean energy carrier and important industrial raw material in lithium battery manufacturing, chemical synthesis, metal heat treatment, and scientific research experiments. However, hydrogen has extremely low ignition energy and a wide explosion limit (4% -75% VOL). Once it leaks and accumulates in a closed or poorly ventilated space, it is highly prone to fire or even explosion accidents, especially in production processes such as lithium battery injection and chemical conversion. The generation and leakage of hydrogen are important safety risk sources. Therefore, continuous and reliable monitoring of hydrogen concentration is a part of safety production in related industries. The SGA-500 series fixed explosion-proof multi in one hydrogen gas detector is designed specifically to address complex risk scenarios, supporting simultaneous monitoring of up to four gases with hydrogen as the main component, providing a one-stop gas safety solution for high-risk areas.

1、 Product Overview
The SGA-500 series is an industrial grade fixed gas detector designed to monitor hydrogen (H ₂) concentration. The product adopts a modular design and can be flexibly configured as a 2-in-1, 3-in-1, or 4-in-1 model according to the on-site risk situation. While monitoring hydrogen gas, other combustible, toxic, or odorous gas detection channels (such as VOC, CO, etc.) can be added. The instrument adopts an explosion-proof structure, equipped with a high-definition LCD screen, supports sound and light alarms, relay linkage, and remote data transmission, and is suitable for industrial sites that require online monitoring of multiple gases simultaneously.

2、 Core Features

  • Multiple tests on one machine, flexible configurationA host can integrate up to 4 types of gas sensors, with hydrogen monitoring as the core and flexible combination with other gas detection to meet the comprehensive monitoring needs in complex environments, saving installation space and costs.

  • Focus on hydrogen safetyOptimization of the flammable and explosive characteristics of hydrogen gas, using high-sensitivity sensors to reliably monitor its concentration changes and prevent explosion risks.

  • Explosion proof and sturdy designIndustrial grade aluminum alloy explosion-proof shell, protection level IP67, explosion-proof level Exd Ⅱ CT6 Gb, can be directly installed in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.

  • Clear and intuitive displayThe 2.4-inch LCD screen displays the concentration, unit, status, and alarm information of multiple gases simultaneously.

  • Intelligent alarm and linkageSupport independent setting of alarm thresholds for each gas, activate on-site sound and light alarms (volume ≥ 85dB) when exceeding the standard, and automatically link emergency equipment such as fans and exhaust valves through relays.

  • Dual-mode signal transmissionSupports wired signals such as 4-20mA and RS485, as well as wireless transmission methods such as GPRS and WIFI (optional), making it easy to connect to factory DCS, PLC systems, or IoT platforms.

  • Strong environmental adaptabilityOptional pipeline and flow sampling accessories, as well as specialized probes and filters for high temperature, high humidity, and high dust environments, can be selected to adapt to various installation conditions.

  • Intelligent maintenance reminderEquipped with automatic reminder function for sensor lifespan and calibration cycle, supporting infrared remote control for non opening calibration and parameter setting, reducing long-term operation and maintenance costs.
