In recent years, the haze weather in autumn and winter has become a pain in our hearts. Improving air quality, protecting people's health, and making people's lives better are major measures taken by the Xinzhou Municipal Party Committee and Government to adhere to green development and build a beautiful Xinzhou. After entering this winter's heating season, our city has implemented strict measures such as "coal ban", "artillery ban", "traffic restriction", and "production restriction". Based on the forecast of atmospheric indicators, we have issued timely warnings and taken mandatory measures to improve air quality in heavily polluted areas. We have made great efforts to improve air quality, which can be described as severe measures and effective promotion.

In fact, in 2017, our city has not relaxed its efforts in air pollution control. Since the beginning of the year, we have comprehensively carried out enterprise pollution control, coal-fired boiler rectification, clean energy transformation, urban centralized heating integration, non-point source pollution control, dust pollution control, motor vehicle pollution control and other work. All levels and departments have been actively tackling challenges, continuing to control, actively creating a beautiful ecological environment, and continuously meeting the people's needs for a better ecological environment. However, the prevention and control of air pollution cannot be achieved overnight, and we need to make persistent efforts.

In this process of overcoming difficulties, it requires both the determination and responsibility of party members and cadres at all levels, as well as the understanding and support of the general public. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed that "humans and nature are a community of life, and humanity must respect, conform to, and protect nature. In the face of haze, no individual is a bystander. Protecting the ecological environment is not only related to the long-term interests of the city's development, but also to the fundamental interests of every citizen. I hope all citizens can take action and actively respond to the call of the Municipal Party Committee and Government. They should drive less, use less air conditioning, and not set off bamboo fires in prohibited areas.
