The magnitude of deflection is proportional to the mass flow rate of the fluid. Therefore, by using optical or electromagnetic methods to detect the deflection of the measuring tube, the mass flow rate of the fluid inside the tube can be obtained.

After using ratio control, the content fluctuated between 60% and 75%, and the phosgene concentration was very unstable, causing significant difficulties for the subsequent acyl chloride synthesis process. Therefore, after more than three months of use, this ratio control system was abandoned and the operators reverted back to manual operation as before.
