IGBT is a power conversion device and the core of a power supply. It can be damaged by overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating, oscillation, and interference in the power supply. IGBT overvoltage protection includes:
① Di/dt, dv/dt buffer protection;
② High voltage sharp pulse protection;
③ Overcurrent protection, specific indicators are as follows:
a. When di/dt>20A/μ s and di/dt>800V/μ s, the IGBT enters the 3 μ s pulse width limit protection, and the power supply instantly decreases without stopping working or alarming;
b. When the high-voltage peak pulse voltage reaches 860Vp-p (IGBT withstand voltage 1200V), the peak voltage is suppressed;
c. When IGBT overcurrent occurs for some reason and IGBT VCE ≥ 6.8V, IGBT enters 3 μ s pulse width limit protection, the power supply does not stop working, and there is no alarm. When IGBT VCE ≥ 7V, IGBT enters cutoff protection, the power supply stops working, and the alarm displays IGBT fault.
