The 2205 duplex steel level gauge consists of a main body, flange, discharge ball valve, float, and a flap with magnetic components. It can be used for medium level detection in various equipment such as towers, tanks, tanks, spherical vessels, and boilers. It compensates for the defects of poor clarity and easy breakage of glass plate (tube) level gauges, and the entire measurement process has no blind spots, clear display, and a large measurement range.

When the liquid level in the tested container rises or falls, the magnetic float in the liquid level gauge body tube also rises or falls accordingly. The magnetic steel inside the float is transmitted to the magnetic flip column indicator through magnetic coupling, driving the red and white flip columns to flip 180 °. When the liquid level rises, the flip column changes from white to red, and when the liquid level falls, it changes from red to white. The red white boundary of the indicator is the actual height of the liquid level inside the container, thus achieving clear indication of the liquid level.
Installation precautions
The liquid level gauge is installed on the top or side of the bypass pipe when measuring liquids. Magnetic conductors are not allowed to approach the main body, otherwise it will directly affect the accurate operation of the liquid level gauge.
Liquid level sensor transmitter
Install a flip column liquid level indicator, liquid level switch, and liquid level transmitter outside the magnetic flip column body. The magnetic unit is placed inside the floating ball or connected to the floating ball through a top rod. When the floating ball and the magnetic unit change with the liquid level, the magnetic color block (magnetic flip plate) is flipped; The magnetic liquid level switch operates at the corresponding liquid level point; At the same time, the liquid level sensor outputs a standard variable resistance signal under the action of the floating ball magnetic force, and then converts the resistance signal into a 4-20mA current signal output through the transmitter.
Working principle of magnetic flap level gauge
1. Buoyancy effect: There is a float inside the magnetic flap level gauge that floats with the liquid surface, and the float has sufficient density difference to ensure that it can float on the surface of the liquid.
2. Magnetic coupling: The float is equipped with a magnet inside, which moves up and down with the change of liquid level, driving the magnetic flap on the external display panel to rotate.
3. Liquid level display: The flipper is usually designed with two different colors (such as red and white) on both sides. When influenced by the magnet inside the float, the flipper will flip and display the color change corresponding to the liquid level, thus intuitively indicating the liquid level height.

Common faults and their solutions
1. Display Exception
Phenomenon: The liquid level displayed on the level gauge does not match the actual liquid level.
Reason: It may be caused by improper installation, float jamming, or magnetic component failure.
Solution: Check if the installation angle is correct and remove any obstacles that may hinder the movement of the float; If the magnetic component fails, the corresponding component needs to be replaced.
2. Flip the board without flipping it over
Phenomenon: When the liquid level changes, the flipping plate does not have a corresponding color change.
Reason: The flipping shaft is damaged or the magnetic force is insufficient.
Solution: Check if the flipping shaft is worn or blocked, and ensure that the magnetic force is strong enough. Replace the flipper or adjust the float magnet if necessary.
3. Large fluctuations in liquid level
Phenomenon: The liquid level display is unstable and shows significant fluctuations.
Reason: caused by liquid turbulence or improper float quality.
Solution: Minimize turbulence in liquid flow and choose floats of appropriate weight to accommodate different liquid densities.
4. Sealing issue
Phenomenon: The liquid level gauge is leaking.
Reason: The sealing ring is aging or damaged.
Solution: Regularly check the sealing condition and replace aging seals in a timely manner.
5. Temperature influence
Phenomenon: The liquid level gauge cannot function properly at abnormal temperatures.
Reason: Differences in material thermal expansion coefficients or temperatures exceeding the operating range of the equipment.
Solution: Select materials suitable for the working temperature range, or take insulation measures to protect the level gauge from abnormal temperature effects.
