The atmospheric jet pump is composed of an intake pipe, a nozzle, an atmospheric valve body, and a diffuser.
The technical specifications of 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump and 2SK-P1 series two-stage water ring vacuum pump atmospheric jet pump vacuum unit are shown in Table 1 and Table 2.

5、 Equipment installation of 2SK water ring vacuum pump
The installation dimensions of the 2SK series two-stage water ring vacuum pump are shown in Figures 5, 6, 7, and 8.
1. Installation of 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
When the 2SK water ring vacuum pump is delivered to the installation site, if any damage is found or if it is installed 8 months after leaving the factory, it should be disassembled, inspected, and repaired before installation.
Before installation, manually rotate the coupling Lv to confirm if the pump is stuck. The 2SK-0.4 and 2SK-0.8 pumps can be checked by opening the motor cover and rotating the motor fan several times. The foundation of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump should be kept level to ensure that the pump is placed horizontally.
2. Pipeline installation of 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
The flange connection of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump pipeline should be heated to ensure reliable sealing, especially if there is a slight looseness in the intake pipeline of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump, the predetermined vacuum degree cannot be achieved. The intake pipe near the pump must be equipped with a gate valve to be closed before parking, in order to prevent water in the pump from flowing back to the intake pipe or even the sealed container under the pressure of the exhaust pipe. It is recommended to install a vacuum gauge between the intake gate valve and the pump intake to check whether the pump is working properly at any time. A gate valve should also be installed on the water supply pipeline of the 2SK water ring vacuum pump to adjust the water supply to meet the specified requirements.
3. Installation of gas water separator for 2SK water ring vacuum pump:
The 2SK water ring vacuum pump air-water separator is placed on the foundation according to Figure 8. If it is necessary to change the installation position, attention should be paid to the connection pipeline of the separator, which should not be too long, and the transition should not be too fast (the distance between the connection pipeline and the pump inlet should not be more than half a meter, the longest should not be more than 2 meters, and the transition should not be more than three, otherwise the flow loss of water and gas in the pipeline will increase, thus increasing the pressure at the pump exhaust end, reducing the flow rate and vacuum degree, and increasing power consumption.
6、 Starting and stopping of 2SK water ring vacuum pump
(1) Starting of 2SK series water ring vacuum pump: Before starting, especially for pumps that have been parked for a long time, the coupling must be manually rotated several times (2SK-0.4/0.8 can rotate the motor fan) to confirm that the rotor can rotate freely. Before starting 2SK-12, 2SK-20, and 2SK-30, all water in the pump body should be drained before starting.
The starting of 2SK series water ring vacuum pump can be done in the following order:
1. Close the gate valve on the intake pipeline of the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump (user installed, not shown in the picture);
2. Start the motor (pay attention to the forward and reverse rotation of the motor at this time);
3. Open the gate valve on the water supply pipeline and gradually increase the water supply until it meets the specified requirements;
4. When the pump reaches the maximum vacuum, open the gate valve on the intake pipe and the pump starts working normally;
5. Adjust the packing cap so that water drips towards the desired location. When the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump operates under extreme vacuum, if an explosion occurs due to physical effects inside the pump, the power consumption does not increase. If an explosion sound is detected as the power increases, it indicates that the pump has malfunctioned and should be stopped immediately for inspection.
Starting of 2SK-P1 series water ring one large air pump unit:
Firstly, start the two-stage water vacuum pump in the above order. If the large air pump is directly installed on the suction port of the two-stage pump, the atmospheric pump can work on its own. At this time, the time for the unit to reach the maximum vacuum is slightly longer. If the electromagnetic valve is used to open and close the large air pump, and the atmospheric pump is turned on when approaching the limit of the two-stage pump, the unit will start working.
(2) 2SK series water ring vacuum pump parking:
When using the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump alone, the parking should be done in the following order:
1. Close the gate valve on the intake pipeline.
2. Close the gate valve on the water supply pipeline. After stopping the water supply, do not immediately stop the pump. Keep the pump running for 1-2 minutes to discharge some working fluid.
3. Turn off the electric motor.
4. If the 2SK series water ring vacuum pump is stopped for more than one day, the screw plug at the bottom of the pump body must be opened to drain the water completely.
Shutdown of 2SK-P1 series water ring atmospheric pump unit:
1. If the large air pump is directly installed on the inlet flange of the two-stage water ring pump, it can be operated to stop according to the parking sequence of the 2SK vacuum pump.
2. If the air pump is connected to a 2SK vacuum pump through a bypass pipeline and the solenoid valve is opened and closed, the atmospheric pump can be stopped first, and then the two-stage pumps can be stopped.
7、 Maintenance of 2SK water ring vacuum pump
1. The 2SK vacuum pump should regularly tighten the packing. If the packing cannot guarantee the required sealing due to wear, it should be replaced with new packing. The packing should not be pressed too tightly, and normally tightened packing allows water to drip out. But the quantity should not be too much, and oil immersed asbestos rope should be used as filler.
2. The ball bearings of 2SK vacuum pump should have good working conditions, and their working temperature should not be higher than the surrounding temperature by 35 ℃, but the measured temperature value should not exceed 70 ℃. 2/3 of the entire space in the bearing chamber should be filled with butter. For normal working bearings, oil should be added 3-4 times a year, the bearings should be cleaned at least once a year, and all lubricating oil should be replaced.
8、 Disassembly and assembly of 2SK water ring vacuum pump
(1) Dismantling of 2SK vacuum pump:
The disassembly of 2SK vacuum pump is divided into partial disassembly inspection and cleaning, and complete disassembly repair and replacement of parts. Before dismantling, all water in the pump should be drained. When disassembling, various sealing gaskets should be carefully removed. If damage is found, new gaskets of the same thickness and material should be replaced. When disassembling, marks should be made on the parts to ensure correct installation. The disassembly sequence is as follows (see Figures 2 and 3).
1. Firstly, disconnect the 2SK vacuum pump from the system pipeline, separator, motor, and base, take out the pump head, and place it on a flat plate (2SK-0.4, 2SK-0.8 cannot remove the motor)
2. The lower connecting pipe (2SK-0.4, 2SK-0.8, 2SK-1.5 do not have this component).
3. For ease of disassembly, the pump should be placed upright with the drive end facing downwards as much as possible.
4. Remove the rear bearing covers 1 (Figure 2) and 4 (Figure 3), and remove the bearing frames 3 (Figure 2) and 6 (Figure 3) along with the bearings.
5. Remove all tightening bolts and remove the non drive end cover along with the disc fixed to the end cover.
6. Remove short pump bodies 5 (Figure 2), 9 (Figure 3), short impeller back cap (Figure 3 does not have this part), short impellers 16 (Figure 2), 8 (Figure 3), middle walls 6, 7 (Figure 3 does not have this part), shaft sleeve 20 (Figure 3 does not have this part), long pump bodies 9 (Figure 2), 10 (Figure 3), long impeller 11 (Figure 3), (In Figure 2, if long impeller 17 and shaft 2 do not need to be replaced, please do not remove the long impeller from the shaft).
7. Lie down the remaining part. In Figure 2, remove pump coupling 18, front axle pressure cover 13, front axle support frame 3, and front end cover 4. In Figure 3, simply remove front cover 13
At this point, the disassembly is all over.
During disassembly, special attention should be paid to whether the gap between the end faces of the two impellers and the pump cover and middle wall is appropriate, and the thickness of the cushion should be appropriately increased or decreased according to its size.
(2) 2SK vacuum pump assembly:
Before assembling the 2SK vacuum pump, the parts should be cleaned and oil should be applied to the mating surfaces and threads. Old oil should be removed from the ball bearings and bearing seats, and new oil should be added. Scrapped parts should be replaced. A new pad with the same thickness and material should be manufactured, and the damaged old pad should be replaced.
The assembly sequence of 2SK vacuum pump is opposite to the disassembly sequence, but the following points should be noted:
1. In Figure 2, the bearing on the drive end is a positioning bearing, which must be fixed properly and adjusted with adjusting pad 11 to adjust the gap between the long impeller 17 and the front end cover disc.
2. Pay attention to the uniform tightening force of the long tension bolt.
3. The key to assembling a two-stage water ring pump is how to ensure that the clearance between the two ends of the impeller meets the specified requirements. If the gap is too large, too small, or uneven on both sides, it will have a significant impact on the performance of the pump, especially the pumping volume. It may even cause malfunctions such as blockage or blade breakage due to the collision between adjacent parts on both sides of the impeller. Therefore, it must be highly valued during assembly.
4. The clearance between the two end faces of the impeller should be:
2SK-1.5, 2SK-3, and 2SK-6 have a range of 0.13-0.18, 2SK-12 has a range of 0.15-0.25, and 2SK-20 and 2SK-30 have a range of 0.20-0.30
9、 Equipment Description of 2SK Water Ring Vacuum Pump
The installation and external dimensions of 2SK water ring vacuum pump and 2SK-P1 series water ring atmospheric jet pump unit are shown in Figures 5, 6, 7, and 8.
When the two-stage pump is working, gas enters the pump through the pipeline and valve, and then the gas water mixture is discharged into the gas water separator by the pump. Part of the water is replenished by the inlet pipeline to compensate for the loss of water in the pump, and the excess water overflows through the overflow pipeline.
The vacuum degree and pumping volume of 2SK water ring vacuum pump can be adjusted through the gate valve on the pipeline. Not shown in the picture. Users can install it themselves.
Due to the fact that the 2SK water ring vacuum pump is discharged together with water during exhaust, water cooling is also required at both ends of the packing. In addition, the heat generated by gas compression keeps the water temperature rising (which has a significant impact on the performance of the pump). Therefore, it is necessary to regularly supplement clean cold water into the separator, so that it can enter the pump through the inlet pipeline. Users can choose not to use the air-water separator according to their actual situation, as long as there is no shortage of water or wastewater that can be recycled and reused, and allow the air-water mixture to directly enter the atmosphere. However, attention should be paid to the exhaust pipeline to ensure smooth discharge of air-water. The size of the water supply has an impact on the vacuum degree, pumping volume, and power consumption of the pump. Therefore, the size of the water supply should be strictly controlled within the specified range, and the water supply pressure should be around 0.1MPa. For this purpose, valves should be installed on the inlet pipeline to regulate the water supply volume.
When the 2SK water ring vacuum pump and atmospheric jet pump form a unit for operation, the atmospheric jet pump can be directly installed on the suction port of the two-stage pump, or connected to the suction port of the two-stage pump through a pipeline, and an electromagnetic valve can be used to control the on/off of the atmospheric pump in between.
