BSI-1A biphasic excitation isolator, the BSI-1A electrical stimulator is powered by a battery and adopts an optimized packaging design to isolate the excitation signal from the ground. This instrument is truly linear and can convert any waveform from 0 to plus or minus 10 volts into constant current or constant voltage excitation. It has a constant current range of ± 100 nanoamps to ± 10 milliamps, and is compliant with voltages up to ± 125 volts, with a constant voltage range of 0 to ± 125 volts. The four position range switch on the front panel provides resolution for selecting precise excitation amplitudes. The calibrated front panel control knob allows investigators to apply input signal levels, which can then be attenuated to provide continuously adjustable output levels. Provides a separate output jack for monitoring the current level through the electrodes, so there is no need to establish a connection on the electrodes, otherwise the excitation current path may be interrupted.
