Bag filter is a compact and easy to operate pressure filtration equipment, with replaceable filter bags as its core filtering element. Bag filterIt is one of the most commonly used liquid purification devices in the industrial field. Its design is based on a simple principle of a pressure vessel, which supports a bag shaped filter medium called a filter bag supported by a metal mesh basket inside the container. Filter bags are usually made of materials such as non-woven fabric, needle punched felt, woven mesh, etc., providing a huge effective filtration area and deep filtration capacity.
The core structure of the equipment includes a pressure tank, a quick opening top cover (suitable for single or multiple bag types), one or more supporting mesh baskets, and filter bags placed inside the mesh baskets. During operation, the liquid to be filtered flows in from the inlet on the side or top of the tank, and under pressure, it permeates from the outside to the inside of the filter bag. Solid particles in the liquid are trapped in the fiber network of the filter bag, while clean liquid enters the interior of the mesh basket and is discharged from the bottom outlet. This flow pattern from the outside to the inside allows the entire surface and depth of the filter bag to participate in filtration, resulting in strong dirt holding capacity.
As impurities continue to accumulate on the filter bag, the filtration resistance will increase, manifested as an increase in inlet and outlet pressure difference. When the pressure difference reaches the set value (usually 0.1-0.2 MPa), it indicates that the dirty space of the filter bag is close to saturation and needs to be replaced. At this point, the operator only needs to cut off the inlet fluid, release the pressure inside the tank, open the quick opening cover, and then remove the saturated old filter bag and replace it with a new one. The entire maintenance process is fast and direct, without the need to dismantle pipelines, significantly reducing downtime.
The main features include: firstly, a wide range of filtering accuracy, ranging from 1 micron to 800 microns, which can adapt to various precision requirements. Secondly, a single device can meet high flow filtration requirements by configuring multiple filter bags (multi bag type).
