Based on different usage situations and the characteristics of different structural forms of valves, the structural form of regulating valves should be evaluated from the aspects of regulating performance, applicable temperature, applicable diameter, pressure resistance, applicable medium conditions, cut-off differential pressure, leakage rate, pressure loss, weight, appearance, cost, etc. Regulating valves have the characteristics of simple structure and reliable operation, but due to their direct contact with process media, their performance directly affects system quality and environmental pollution. According to their structural use, electric single seat regulating valves can be divided into needle type, single seat, sleeve, double seat, etc. They are suitable for situations with small pressure difference, high medium viscosity, or slight particle impurities. According to the material of the sealing part of the valve, there are two types: metal metal and non-metal metal seals. The latter can achieve a leakage rate of VI level (zero leakage) when the valve is closed. According to the different packing materials, it can be divided into two types: general packing seal and corrugated pipe seal. The former is used in general occasions, while the latter is used in important occasions where leakage is not allowed. The flow characteristics are linear or equal percentage.
