According to Stokes' formula, the settling velocity is proportional to the square of the radius of water in the oil, proportional to the density difference between water and oil, and inversely proportional to the viscosity of the oil. By increasing the water density, widening the density difference between oil and water, and reducing the viscosity of the oil, the settling and separation speed can be improved, thereby enhancing the separation efficiency.
