Working principle of U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge:
The U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge is a liquid type pressure gauge that uses the principle of fluid static equilibrium to directly measure pressure by utilizing the height difference of the liquid column. The two ends of the U-shaped glass tube must be balanced with the same inner diameter. The top of one end of the U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge should be closed and maintain a certain degree of vacuum. The tube contains high-purity mercury as the working medium, and the U-shaped pressure gauge is connected to the tested equipment through a copper joint. The pressure inside the equipment is pumped by a vacuum pump, and the absolute pressure is directly read by comparing the height difference of the mercury column end face in the U-shaped tube with the scale plate.
Maintenance and upkeep of U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge:
During transportation and use, the U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge should be handled with care and the nut should not be loosened casually to prevent silver from flowing out.
The U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge needs to maintain the purity of mercury, as mercury contamination can affect the measurement accuracy.
After use, the vacuum valve should be closed before turning off the vacuum pump to prevent oil from entering the pressure gauge and vacuum system.
There is air entering the closed end of the pipe, and the pressure gauge should be repeatedly and slowly rotated to eliminate the air.
The U-shaped pressure vacuum gauge should not be used in the short term and can be stored by plugging the inner passage with a plug.
