Installation and maintenance:
1. The breathing valve is installed at the highest point of the oil storage tank to reduce material evaporation loss and maintain pressure balance inside and outside the tank. Generally, for vertical oil tanks, the breathing valve is installed within the central range of the tank roof; For storage tanks that require insulation on the top of the tank, the breathing valve can be installed near the ladder platform.
2. When the breathing valve leaves the factory, a plastic protective cover is used for the flange sealing surface to prevent damage during transportation. When installing it on site, the flange protective cover must be removed and installed vertically on the top of the storage tank. The breathing valve cannot be placed horizontally or upside down. If two plastic breathing valves need to be installed on the top of the tank, the breathing valves should be installed symmetrically with the center of the tank top.
3. The installation of the breathing valve on the storage tank usually takes 1-3 months. It is necessary to regularly check whether the positive and negative pressure valve discs of the breathing valve work flexibly. When the breathing valve is working normally, it will make a "hiss hiss" sound to release pressure and exhaust gas. Otherwise, the valve cover on the top of the breathing valve needs to be opened to check whether the valve disc of the breathing valve has a "chuck" phenomenon. Is there any dirt on the guide rod? If so, clean the dirt in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the guide rod. Check for wear on the sealing surface of the valve seat. If there is wear, replace it immediately to ensure the normal and safe operation of the breathing valve.
4. The positive and negative pressure valve discs of the breathing valve constantly change and move up and down according to the pressure inside the tank. After three years of use, it is generally necessary to replace the sealing surfaces of the valve disc, guide rod, and valve seat inside the plastic PP breathing valve to ensure its normal operation and maintain the safe operation of the storage tank.
