This structure improves gas-liquid distribution and fully utilizes the inner surface of the ring. Compared with the Raschig ring, the processing capacity can be increased by more than 50%, while the pressure is reduced by half. Regardless of its orientation inside the tower, the liquid sprayed onto the packing material flows along the outer wall, passes through small windows towards the inner wall, and flows along the blades towards the center. In this way, the dispersion of the liquid increases, and the utilization rate of the inner surface of the filler is improved. The blade retains the original wall surface and adds a new surface for the incision, resulting in a larger specific surface area than before the window was opened. The curved blades towards the center of the ring increase the turbulence level of the gas, and the staggered opening of windows reduces the stagnation dead zone between adjacent fillers. Therefore, the gas-liquid distribution is uniform, the contact area between the two phases increases, and the mass transfer efficiency increases accordingly. In addition, the Bauer ring maintains a constant mass transfer efficiency over a wide range of gas velocities.
