The flow rate and speed of a screw pump are linearly related. Compared to low-speed screw pumps, high-speed screw pumps can increase flow rate and head, but their power is significantly increased. High speed accelerates the wear between the rotor and stator, which inevitably leads to premature failure of the screw pump. Moreover, the length of the stator and rotor of high-speed screw pumps is very short, which is prone to wear and tear, thus shortening the service life of the screw pump.

By using a deceleration mechanism or a continuously variable speed mechanism to reduce the speed and keep it within a reasonable range of less than 300 revolutions per minute, the service life can be extended several times compared to high-speed screw pumps.

The operation of a single screw pump involves the rotor of a certain outer surface meshing with the stator of the corresponding inner surface, forming a special contact line that separates the stator cavity. This contact line is called a sealing line. When the rotor rotates along a certain trajectory, its sealing line moves axially, which also causes the stator chamber to move axially, that is, volume displacement. At this time, the sealing line disappears at one end, and the screw pump problem generates a new sealing line from the other end, pushing the medium from one end to the other.

The single screw oil and gas mixed flow pump uses a stator made of rubber material with good elasticity, which requires a certain amount of interference when meshing with the rotor. The metering screw pump ensures reliable sealing. When the pump is working, the sealing line can effectively prevent gas from passing through, thus achieving the purpose of transporting gas; When the medium contains solid particles, if the solid particles are squeezed into the sealing line, due to the elastic effect of the rubber stator, the surface of the stator rubber is compressed, and the solid particles cross the sealing line. The stator rubber rebounds and returns to its original shape. In this way, a single screw pump can achieve the purpose of conveying media containing trace amounts of solid particles.
