Pneumatic conveying, also known as air flow conveying, is a specific application of fluidization technology that utilizes the energy of air flow to transport granular materials along the direction of air flow in a closed pipeline. The structure of the pneumatic conveying device is simple and easy to operate. It can be used for horizontal, vertical, or inclined conveying. During the conveying process, it can also perform physical operations such as heating, cooling, drying, and air flow classification, as well as certain chemical operations. Compared with mechanical conveying, this method consumes more energy, particles are easily damaged, and equipment is also susceptible to abrasion. Materials with high moisture content, adhesive properties, or prone to static electricity during high-speed movement are not suitable for pneumatic conveying.
Pneumatic conveying system is an industrial technology system based on fluid mechanics principles, which achieves continuous transportation of granular materials through gas flow in a closed pipeline.

The technical route includes two basic forms: suction type (negative pressure) and pressure type (positive pressure). Its core equipment includes feeders, conveying pipes, separation and dust removal devices, and power systems. The pipeline design needs to meet engineering specifications with a curvature radius of ≥ 1 meter or 5 times the pipe diameter to reduce wear and tear. This system is widely used in more than 30 industrial fields such as new energy, food and medicine, and chemical industry. It achieves the transportation of 350 tons of industrial silicon powder in the production of silicon-based materials and solves the problem of dust-free treatment of micron level positive and negative electrode materials in the lithium battery industry.
The technological development has gone through iterations from dilute phase to dense phase transportation, and the pilot system has broken through the limit of 2000 meter ultra long distance transportation, with an ash to gas ratio of 40kg/kg.
