Overview
The rapid non-destructive analyzer for iron, magnesium, aluminum, and silicon elements in limestone provides a series of standard samples for instrument determination of limestone, including CAO, MgO, and SiO in lime. There is no corresponding standard sample for the measurement. We once used samples with accurate chemical values as standard samples to establish working curves, but in our work, we found that there is no linear relationship between CaO, limestone, and lime. Upon investigation, it is believed that the forms of Ca in limestone and lime are different, resulting in a non-linear relationship between CAO in limestone and lime. Therefore, only by using their respective working curves can the measurement results be accurate.
Product Details

(1) CA in limestone exists in the form of CACO, while Ca in limestone exists in the form of CaO. After high-temperature calcination, the main component of limestone has been transformed from CACO to CAO, and the mineral composition has changed. Therefore, mineral effect is the main reason for the significant difference in relative X-ray intensity between limestone and CaO in lime.


(2) In work, the calibration curve often varies depending on the origin of the ore. To eliminate this influence or the difference between the sample and the standard sample, when drawing the limestone working curve, it should be done jointly by the standard sample and samples with known accurate values from different mining areas. When drawing the limestone working curve, it should be done jointly by samples from different mining areas. In this way, the analysis results of the sample can be more accurate and reliable, and errors caused by large changes in the matrix components can be avoided.


(3) The powder pressing method has high requirements for the particle size of the sample, and the particle size of the sample must be ground to below 0.076mm to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.


(4) The surface of the powder pressed sample should be smooth and free of cracks, otherwise the results will be inaccurate.


(5) Due to the high hygroscopicity of lime samples, it can affect the accuracy of analysis results. Therefore, the sample should be thoroughly dried, and the prepared sample should be measured in a timely manner.

Multiple protections, safe and worry free
The detector protection device closes the detector window after the instrument is tested to prevent the detector window from being punctured; The protective cover and electromagnetic lock of the instrument are linked with the high voltage of the X-ray tube, making it impossible to open the sample chamber cover during the testing process to prevent instantaneous X-ray injury to the operator when accidentally opening the cover. Software misoperation reminder, instrument three-dimensional maze design, electronic interlock induction, mechanical isolation safety lock protection, software abnormal interruption and other multiple X-ray protection measures ensure the safety of users.
