The wastewater from meat processing comes from side food processing, washing oil, workshop equipment, and floor washing. The wastewater contains animal internal organs, animal hair, broken skin and fat, and belongs to high concentration organic wastewater. The characteristics of its wastewater discharge are: large concentration changes, high organic content, easy degradation, direct discharge into water bodies will consume dissolved oxygen in the water, damage the ecosystem, and seriously pollute the environment.

Like general industrial wastewater, the water quality of meat processing wastewater is affected by factors such as processing objects, production processes, water consumption, labor quality of workers, and equipment level. The water quality varies greatly, and there are significant differences not only in domestic and foreign data, but also in the water quality of wastewater from different manufacturers within the country. Due to the unique quality of wastewater from slaughter and meat processing, its treatment design is quite complex. The processing technology should not only have low investment, high stability, and low operating costs, but also consider production management and convenient manual operation in details.

Meat processing wastewater is intercepted by a grid to remove larger suspended and floating particles, and then flows into an oil separation tank to remove most of the floating oil by utilizing the different densities of oil and water; The effluent from the oil separation tank enters the regulating tank, where the water quality and quantity are homogenized, and then enters the anoxic tank for hydrolysis and acidification; The hydrolyzed wastewater enters the biological contact oxidation tank for aerobic treatment, and the treated wastewater enters the secondary sedimentation tank to remove suspended substances such as detached biofilm. The effluent meets the standard and is discharged into the urban sewage network. The present invention integrates functions such as homogenization, primary sedimentation, biodegradation, and secondary sedimentation, without a sludge reflux system. It has the advantages of simple process, small footprint, low investment, and strong resistance to impact loads, making it very suitable for meat processing enterprises with large fluctuations in water quality and quantity.

What equipment is used to treat wastewater from meat processing


Through process reform, control the water consumption in the factory, save resources, and reduce pollutant emissions. For example, a certain meat processing plant produces and utilizes recycled water, producing 500-1000m3 of recycled water per day. Using it instead of tap water as a flushing water sample can save 125000-25000m4 of water per year. Specific measures for reforming the process include: ① using air thawing technology instead of traditional cold water pool thawing technology in meat product processing, reducing the drainage of 1 ton of raw frozen meat from 15m3 to 2-3m2; ② poultry processing, traditional feather processing generally uses mechanical depilation and manual plucking of small feathers, resulting in significant feather loss. This not only wastes valuable feather raw materials, but also increases suspended solids in wastewater. Adopting a new wax feather removal process is beneficial for feather recovery, reduces loss, and saves water.
