GSF spiral sand water separator
overview
The spiral sand water separator is suitable for sedimentation tanks in sewage treatment plants and is an equipment used for sand water mixtures in sewage treatment.
Working principle
The spiral inclination angle of the sand water separator equipment is generally between 25~30 °. The sand water mixture enters the equipment from the inlet pipe, and the mixture passes through the aggregation box on the upper part of the separator. Under the action of water flow, the sand particles in the mixture are separated from the organic matter. The sand water enters the sand collection tank, and the particles with a higher specific gravity (such as sand particles) decrease due to their own weight and deposit at the bottom of the spiral tank. Under the push of the spiral blades, the material flows along the inclined U The bottom of the groove is lifted, and after leaving the liquid level, it continues to move up a certain distance. The water in the sand particles gradually flows back to the water tank through the gaps of the spiral groove blades. The sand particle liquid gradually dries up and falls into other conveying devices by its own weight. The supernatant continuously overflows from the drainage weir, and the organic matter also flows out of the overflow groove with the supernatant under the action of the water vortex, returning to the sewage well, thus achieving the separation of sand and water.

Technical performance and characteristics
The separation efficiency can reach 96-98%, and particles with a diameter of ≥ 0.2mm can be separated; Adopting a shaftless screw conveyor, without bottom bearings, consumables, reasonable structural design, no blockages, and low maintenance costs.
