Hyperbolic mixerIn municipal, chemical, papermaking, and other water treatment processes, water mixing is one of the key processes. Traditional mixing machinery is divided into two commonly used methods: vertical axis folding blade type and horizontal (submersible) type. Due to the installation method and blade form determining its mixing form, it is not ideal in terms of energy consumption and mixing effect. This not only brings unnecessary increases to the operating costs of sewage treatment plants, but also directly affects the final process treatment effect.



Hyperbolic mixerWorking principle and structure

The upper surface of the hyperbolic impeller body is a hyperbolic structure formed by the rotation of the hyperbolic generatrix around the axis of the impeller body,. Its impeller structure design maximizes the correlation between fluid characteristics and mechanical motion. The equation of a hyperbola is a curved surface formed by the rotation of the xy=b curve along the y-axis; In order to cater to the flow of water, the water is designed to enter from the center of the impeller, which reduces the turbulence of the inlet and ensures uniform pressure of the liquid on the surface of the impeller, thereby ensuring the balance of the whole machine in motion. There are eight guide vanes evenly distributed on the gradually opening double curved surface. The potential energy obtained by supplementing the inflow with the self weight pressure of the liquid and the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the impeller form kinetic energy. The liquid moves tangentially along the circumferential direction of the impeller through the hyperbolic structure transition under the action of gravity acceleration. Under the reflection of the pool wall, it forms a top-down circulating water flow, thus obtaining cross flow in the axial (y) and radial (x) directions (as shown in Figures 1 and 2). It is precisely because of the structural characteristics of the hyperbolic mixer impeller and its proximity to the bottom of the pool that its working position determines its direct anti settling effect on suspended solids, which can achieve ideal mixing effect during operation and effectively eliminate mixing dead corners. A large specific surface area can result in extensive water exchange.
