The structure of a dust removal filter element consists of an inlet duct, an exhaust duct, a box, an ash hopper, a cleaning device, a guide device, an airflow distribution plate, a filter cartridge, and an electrical control device. This device has a structure similar to that of a pulse bag.

1. The dust removal filter element plays a very important role in the dust collector. It can be installed at an angle or vertically. Generally, vertical installation has better dust removal effect. The filter chamber of the dust collector is installed under the flower plate, with the air box filter chamber above. An airflow distribution plate is installed at the inlet of the dust collector.

The working principle of a filter cartridge dust collector is that when the dust containing gas enters the ash hopper, the airflow cross-section suddenly expands and the effect of the airflow distribution plate causes some larger particles to fall into the ash hopper. Some of the small dust enters the dust filter chamber and some settles on the surface of the filter material. The purified gas enters the clean air chamber and is discharged through the exhaust pipe.

3. The resistance of the filter cartridge dust collector increases with the increase of dust deposition on the surface of the filter material. When the resistance reaches the specified value, the staff needs to clean the dust. At this time, the pulse valve needs to be controlled to open and close, the first chamber is closed, the filtered airflow is cut off, and then the electromagnetic pulse valve is opened. The compressed air will rapidly expand, generating vibration, and under the action of reverse airflow flushing, the dust on the filter bag will fall into the dust collection bag. Dust cleaning is completed, and the solenoid valve is closed.

4. Traditional filter cartridge dust collectors use high-pressure air flow back blowing and pulse air flow blowing. Practice has shown that high-pressure air flow back blowing has uniform air flow, but consumes a large amount of air. Pulse airflow blowing consumes less air, but the airflow is too weak. So technicians need to add flow guiding devices on the pulse tube to enhance the induction effect of airflow. Alternatively, the diversion duct can be removed to allow the pulse airflow and induced airflow to fully enter the filter cartridge. This improvement would result in lower air consumption and better dust removal efficiency.
