Gravity based water purification equipment is widely used for surface water purification (such as filtering circulating water from large, medium, and small landscape water, artificial rivers, lakes, fountains, waterfalls, etc.), and for removing iron and impurities from groundwater; Side by side water filtration, removing suspended impurities from production wastewater; The subsequent filtration of organic wastewater after biochemical treatment and secondary sedimentation tank treatment, as well as the filtration of indoor swimming pool water. The small-sized filter tank series products adopt square and flat top covers, while the large-sized ones adopt circular and arch top covers. They have good hygiene and protection conditions and can be set up outdoors. Compared with reinforced concrete filters, they have a smaller self weight and can use asphalt sand flexible foundations.

There are two main series of gravity water purification equipment:

1. The filter is square in shape, with a filtration capacity ranging from 20m3/h to 175m3/h;

2. Circular filter, with a filtration capacity of 20m3/h to 80m3/h and 200m3/h to 750m3/h. The filtered water with a capacity of 20m3/h to 175m3/h is transported to the site as a whole, while the filtered water with a capacity of 200m3/h to 750m3/h is prefabricated by the manufacturer into several parts and transported to the site for assembly. After anti-corrosion treatment, it is delivered to the construction unit and filled with filter material for commissioning and operation.

Introduction to Gravity based Water Purification Equipment Process:

The gravity water purification equipment adopts a group drainage system, forward and gravity filtration, and backwashs with the water volume from its own clean water area under the action of siphon head. Therefore, there is no need to install backwash pumps or backwash water towers like high-speed filters, medium speed filters, mechanical filters, and ordinary fast filter tanks. In this filter tank, a large number of flushing pipes are used and arranged at the centroid axis of their respective area shapes.

Among the larger specification products of the filter, compared with the reinforced concrete gravity type valve free filter tank in the national standard drawing, the Meizu three seat series (i.e. when one filter is backwashed, the backwash water is supplied by three filter tanks in the same group) has been added. The maximum control value of the final head loss is also 1.7m in the national standard drawing, with two levels of 1.5m and 1.9m added, providing a convenient choice for the elevation layout of water treatment plant design.

Performance advantages of gravity based water purification equipment:

(1) The device has achieved timed operation in a series of system workflows, including mixing, coagulation reaction, inclined tube sedimentation, filtration, effluent quality monitoring, backwashing, disinfection, and sludge discharge. It can be fully controlled or monitored by the on duty staff according to the specified time for water quality and valve discharge.

(2) The high concentration flocculation layer can increase the collision and adsorption probability of impurity particles in raw water, effectively improve the removal efficiency of solid suspended solids, and also have algae removal function under certain usage conditions.

(3) The sludge concentration chamber and adjustable sludge discharge system can ensure timely removal of excess sludge, thereby ensuring stable operation of the equipment.

(4) The equipment filtration device can automatically backwash without the need for additional backwash water tanks, backwash water pumps, air compressors, etc., which can save infrastructure investment and daily operating costs.

(5) The equipment has a small footprint and can save 50% of the floor area compared to general water purification structures; The device has a height of 4.8 meters and can be installed both indoors and outdoors.

(6) The equipment adopts an integrated design, with separate installation and transportation, making it convenient for expansion, renovation, relocation, or relocation for reuse.
