Exothermic welding is a simple, efficient, and high-quality metal connection method. Exothermic welding is the process of achieving high-quality welding by completely melting metals through the high temperature generated by the aluminum thermal reaction. This reaction is carried out inside a high-temperature resistant graphite mold, which can be welded under normal usage conditions50-100A point. This product has been tested multiple times by the State Power Corporation and Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute and has met the testing standards. It is the first high-tech product produced and tested by the state in China. It has the following advantages:
1 The current carrying capacity of the fusion point is the same as that of the conductor, and it has good conductivity. After testing, the rate of change in the DC resistance ratio before and after welding is close to zero. This is incomparable to any traditional connection method.
2 No external energy is required, and it can be operated both indoors and outdoors.
3 Will not be damaged by surge currents. Experiments have shown that under short-term high current impact, conductors melt before fusion welded joints.
4 Welding will not cause corrosion or relaxation. Due to being a fusion joint with no contact surface or residual stress, the joint is stable and reliable as a long-term conductor.
5 Because it is a molten joint, its joint is molecularly bound to the conductor. Therefore, it has good mechanical strength and is a permanent joint.
The equipment is simple, lightweight, easy to carry, and easy to operate, without the need for professional operators.
