High tensile strength reinforced drum cable, designed for frequent retraction and high mechanical stress scenarios, using central steel wire/aramid fiber reinforcement, with a tensile strength of 10-15kN, meeting EN 50396 standard. The conductor is made of multiple stranded tinned copper wires, with a bending resistance of over 5 million times. The insulation layer is made of weather resistant EPDM or XLPE, and the sheath is made of wear-resistant PUR material, which is resistant to oil, acid and alkali, and ultraviolet rays. 1. Product performance

  • High tensile strength: specially designed to cope with the huge tensile force generated by frequent retraction, dragging, and suspension of drum equipment, with a tensile strength of 10-15kN or even higher, effectively preventing cable breakage.

  • Excellent bending resistance: Using special structural design and fatigue resistant materials, the cable can maintain good electrical and mechanical performance even after millions of bending cycles.

  • Good weather resistance: Suitable for harsh outdoor environments such as sun and rain, high and low temperatures (usually -40 ℃ to+90 ℃), ozone aging, etc.

  • Oil resistant, acid alkali resistant, and corrosion-resistant: The sheath material has excellent chemical stability and can work stably in corrosive environments such as oil stains and acid bases.

2. Materials used

  • Conductor: Stranded multiple strands of fine copper wire (Class 5 or Class 6), tin plated, with good flexibility and strong oxidation resistance.

  • Insulation layer: commonly used materials with good weather resistance, such as EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber), XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene), or PVC with special formulations.

  • Strengthening components:

    • Central reinforcement: usually high-strength galvanized steel wire, aramid fiber (Kevlar) or glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP), providing the main tensile support.

    • Auxiliary reinforcement: It is possible to add aramid weaving layer or steel wire weaving layer under the sheath to further enhance the tensile and lateral pressure resistance.

  • Sheath: Made of highly wear-resistant, oil resistant, and weather resistant polyurethane (PUR) material, or using chloroprene rubber (CR) according to special requirements.

4. Model (Example)

  • Conventional power type: such as YJV-RE (cross-linked polyethylene insulation, polyvinyl chloride sheath, soft structure, for use in drums), YZ-RE (medium-sized rubber sheathed flexible cable, for use in drums).

  • High tensile reinforcement type: The model usually includes reinforcement components, such as YJV-RE-K (K represents armor or reinforcement), or more specifically PUR-TPU-ST (polyurethane sheath, thermoplastic polyurethane, with steel wire reinforcement).

  • Manufacturer customized model: Many manufacturers have their own naming system, such as TRVVSP (drag chain cable, twisted pair shield), which can sometimes be used for lightweight reels, but high tensile reel cable models may include words or specific codes such as "reel", "reinforced", "tensile", etc.

  • Packaging label: The product model, specifications, length, rated voltage, standard, manufacturer, production date, gross/net weight, and other information will be clearly marked on the cable reel or outside the packaging.

  • Protection: The edge of the cable reel may be protected to prevent the cable from being scratched during transportation.
