Instrument usage steps

Before starting the operation of the instrument, fill the cooling water inlet above the condenser tube with distilled water to ensure the cooling effect in the experiment.

  • Turn on the power switch on the right side of the instrument, and the touch screen on the instrument will display the surface temperature of the 8 conical bottle positions on the heating plate, as well as the set temperature and time.

Sample processing and analysis methods refer to national standard analysis methodsHJ828-2017When using this instrument to analyze a sample with a COD concentration greater than 50mg/L, the specific steps are as follows:Take 10.0 ml of water sample into a conical flask, add 5.00 ml of mercuric sulfate solution (6.11), potassium dichromate standard solution (6.9.2), and several explosion-proof boiling glass beads (6.15) in sequence, and shake well. Mercury sulfate solution (6.11) is added in a mass ratio of m [HgSO4]: m [Cl -] ≥ 20:1, with a large amount of 2 ml.

Connect the conical flask to the lower end of the condenser tube of the reflux device (7.1), slowly add 15ml of silver sulfate sulfuric acid solution (6.10) from the upper end of the condenser tube to prevent the escape of low boiling point organic matter, and continuously rotate the conical flask to mix it evenly. Press the "General Start" button, and the instrument will start digesting and heating the liquid according to the set time and temperature; After setting the heating time, the instrument stops heating and the time displays "OFF"; After cooling, the fan stops rotating and maintains a slight boiling reflux for 2 hours from the beginning of the solution boiling. After reflux cooling, add 45 ml of water from the upper end of the condenser tube to rinse the condenser tube, making the solution volume around 70 ml, and remove the conical flask. After cooling the solution to room temperature, add 3 drops of ferrous indicator solution (6.14) and titrate with ammonium ferrous sulfate standard solution (6.12.2). The color of the solution changes from yellow to reddish brown, which is the endpoint. Record the consumption of ferrous sulfate.
