1. Swimming pool dosing metering pumpThe dosing metering pump is mainly used to add liquid agents, such as coagulants, disinfectants, or chemical agents used for pH regulation, to the circulation system pipeline. In the swimming pool industry, we usually use volumetric metering pumps, with diaphragm metering pumps being the most commonly used.
2. Working principleDosing metering pumps, commonly referred to as dosing pumps, are mostly positive displacement pumps such as gear pumps, diaphragm pumps, etc. In the swimming pool equipment industry, precise dosing and fluctuation amplitude of flow pulses are generally not required, and diaphragm metering pumps are often used. The driving methods of diaphragm metering pumps include motor crank and electromagnetic drive. Diaphragm metering pumps are usually composed of a suction check valve, an outlet check valve, a diaphragm, and a driving device. The diaphragm metering pump mainly uses the driving mechanism to pull the opening and closing of the diaphragm to complete the process of inhaling and extruding the liquid medicine; During operation, the driving device pulls apart the diaphragm, creating negative pressure within the diaphragm cavity. Due to the one-way valve at the discharge port preventing fluid from entering the diaphragm chamber through the discharge port, liquid medication is drawn into the diaphragm through the suction port; Next, the driving device squeezes the diaphragm because the suction port is also a one-way valve. At this time, the liquid cannot flow back from the suction port, and the liquid in the diaphragm chamber can only be squeezed out from the discharge port; In this loop, the medicine is pressurized and output by the diaphragm metering pump. The pressure of the swimming pool water distribution pipeline is usually between 1.0-1.5 Bar, and the working pressure of the dosing pump is higher than the pressure of the pipeline it pours into. The pressure of the medication at the outlet of the diaphragm metering pump can generally reach 2-4kg/cm2, and the resistance of the dosing pipeline cannot affect its flow rate.
3. Installation locationThe dosing pump also pours chemicals into the water distribution pipeline of the swimming pool circulating water treatment system (coagulants and disinfectants may sometimes be added before filtration). A dedicated dosing joint is installed on the circulating water pipeline, and a one-way valve is installed inside the dosing joint to prevent water leakage during maintenance of the dosing system. The injection joint and the dosing pump are connected by a dosing hose. The medication pump can be installed on a wall or rack about 1.5 meters above the ground for easy operation, and a medication bucket can be placed nearby below the medication pump. Due to the difficulty in sealing the medicine barrel and the presence of irritating or corrosive gases during the evaporation of some medicinal liquids, it is better to set up an independent dosing room separated from other equipment in the machine room, and install forced ventilation equipment in the dosing room.
4. Regulation methodsDiaphragm pumps can generally manually adjust the dosing flow rate, and the crank stroke or electromagnetic drive frequency of the diaphragm pump can be adjusted. They drive the opening and closing degree or frequency of the diaphragm to change, thereby achieving the metering and dosing of the liquid medicine. When there is a requirement for automatic control of drug delivery, such as when the system is equipped with a water quality monitoring instrument to automatically supply power to the drug delivery equipment, the power cord of the drug delivery pump can be connected to the corresponding power output terminal of the water quality monitoring instrument; When encountering a water quality monitoring instrument with advanced configuration that can output 4-20mA analog control signals, it is necessary to configure a corresponding dosing pump that can receive 4-20mA analog control signals. This dosing pump can automatically adjust the dosing flow rate of the dosing pump according to the size of the received analog signal. However, the cost of such dosing pumps and water quality monitoring devices is relatively high.
5. Scope of applicationThe medication pump can only add liquid medication, and if the medication is solid or powder, it needs to be pre prepared into a solution of the required concentration. Mainly suitable for large and medium-sized water tanks, it is better to set up independent dosing rooms.
6. Key points for use and installationUsually fixed on walls or shelves, 1.2-1.5m high; Due to the strong irritating odor of most disinfectants, it is advisable to administer them in a separate room with forced ventilation; Connect a dedicated dispensing head to the pipeline for easy disassembly during maintenance of the medication tube; Regularly clean the filter head of the suction tube that sinks into the medicine barrel to prevent blockage; The dosing pump is linked with the circulating water pump to prevent the dosing pump from still working when the system stops; Regularly check the remaining liquid in the medicine barrel and replenish it in a timely manner; The tap water should be connected above the medicine barrel for easy preparation of the medicine solution.
