The high-frequency microwave pulse emitted by the guided wave radar level transmitter propagates along the detection component (steel cable or steel rod) and encounters the measured medium. Due to a sudden change in dielectric constant, it causes reflection, and a portion of the pulse energy is reflected back. The time interval between the emitted pulse and the reflected pulse is proportional to the distance of the measured medium.
Multiple process connection methods and detection component forms make guided wave radar level transmitters suitable for various complex working conditions and application scenarios. For example, high temperature and high pressure, highly corrosive acid-base or viscous, turbid media containing impurities and small dielectric constants in industries such as petroleum, chemical, power metallurgy, and environmental protection.
