Introduction to K-S Nebulizer

　　

The rotary atomizer is a specialized equipment for achieving wastewater atomization. The principle is to use the centrifugal force of the rotary atomizer to stretch the liquid into a thin film on the rotating surface, and move towards the edge of the atomization disk at an increasing speed. When leaving the edge of the atomization disk, the solution is transformed into small droplets. K-S Company's rotary atomizers mainly include K-S 900, K-S 1000, and K-S 1500. Among them, K-S 900 and K-S 1000 are mainly used for zero discharge of desulfurization wastewater in the Asian market. There are already multiple projects in China using the K-S 900 rotary atomizer system.

【 Superior Design 】

Komline Sanderson's adjustable speed rotary atomizer is a reliable equipment for spray drying process. This compact and sturdy direct drive high-speed motor, designed with a single rotating assembly, requires very few components (no gearbox), reducing the need for traditional mechanical maintenance. The use of high-quality ceramic ball bearings (ABEC 7) lubricated with oil mist can provide the highest reliability for equipment.

The rotary atomizer can atomize any pumpable solution or slurry, suitable for liquid materials with different solid contents, densities, and viscosities. The liquid materials required for the process are automatically transported to the atomizer through low-pressure volumetric pumps, low-pressure closed-loop circulation pipelines, or high-level tanks. The atomizer atomizes the materials into fine droplets or clouds. The droplet size is usually 30-50 microns, which is suitable for spray drying process.

The on-site control system is placed inside the atomizer control/lubrication system cabinet with a protection level of NEMA 4 (IP55) and on a platform near the operating position of the atomizer. The oil mist generation system inside the on-site control cabinet is used to provide oil mist for lubricating bearings, and the cooling water system is used to provide cooling water to the atomizer stator. The control system also includes multiple relays/timers to monitor the operation of the atomizer system.

The characteristic of K-S atomizer is the use of variable frequency drive (VFD) and the use of state-of-the-art pulse width modulation (PWM) to generate high-frequency power supply. VFD is installed in a suitable enclosure with protection levels ranging from NEMA 1 (IP20) to NEMA 12 (IP52), suitable for placement in remote electrical equipment rooms.
