MBR membrane bioreactorMBR is a new type of wastewater treatment system that combines biological treatment technology and membrane separation technology. It mainly consists of two technical units: bioreactor and membrane module. Compared with the traditional activated sludge process, MBR replaces the secondary sedimentation tank in the traditional activated sludge process with membrane separation.

Strong anti pollution ability: internally supported PVDF material, using nano reinforcement technology, with excellent membrane surface permeability.
Long service life: The tensile strength of the inner support membrane wire is greater than 400N, it can be continuously threaded, resistant to repeated air scrubbing and chemical cleaning, and has good durability
Flexible membrane module area: The membrane module can be customized according to the treatment water volume and membrane tank size, with strong flexibility in membrane area, meeting the needs of different occasions
Reliable and stable effluent performance: The membrane surface pore size is uniform, ensuring good effluent quality, and the turbidity of the produced water is less than 0.5 NTU

Integrated aeration structure: Vertical integrated aeration technology eliminates the bottom boundary separation layer, avoids aeration dead corners, alleviates root membrane pollution, reduces aeration volume, and significantly improves aeration efficiency.
Modular design: Component modular design, forming standard modular components according to different water production ranges, facilitating process design and installation layout, achieving single curtain replacement, and easy disassembly and assembly.

Compared to traditional activated sludge water treatment processes, MBR processes can save more than half of the land area. Especially the integrated MBR achieves both biodegradation and sludge water separation in one reactor, with a high degree of system integration and automation.
MBR treatment of urban sewage has no suspended solids in the effluent, and the water quality is superior to traditional biological treatment processes, making it suitable for reuse as reclaimed water. And MBR eliminates the reliance on gravity settling of sludge for sludge water separation, solving the problems of sludge water separation and water quality deterioration caused by activated sludge expansion in the secondary sedimentation tank.

And MBR eliminates the reliance on gravity settling of sludge for sludge water separation, solving the problems of sludge water separation and water quality deterioration caused by activated sludge expansion in the secondary sedimentation tank.
At present, the treatment and disposal of surplus sludge has become one of the limiting factors for the normal operation of sewage treatment plants. Therefore, it is necessary and crucial to reduce the amount of sludge generated from the source. The sludge retention time in MBR system is long, and the remaining sludge production is low.
The long sludge retention time in MBR is beneficial for the growth of slow proliferating bacteria, such as nitrifying bacteria and other microorganisms. The sludge flocs in MBR are relatively small, and smaller flocs have a larger circumference/area ratio, resulting in lower oxygen mass transfer resistance. In addition, the sludge concentration in MBR is high, which makes it easy to form a surface aerobic and internal anoxic state in the sludge flocs. Therefore, nitrification and denitrification can be achieved in the same reactor, enabling MBR to have good denitrification effect while removing COD.
