SS316L corrosion-resistant globe valve is a forced sealing valve, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters the valve from below the valve disc, the resistance that the operating force needs to overcome is the frictional force between the valve stem and the packing, as well as the thrust generated by the pressure of the medium. The force required to close the valve is greater than the force required to open it, so the diameter of the valve stem should be larger, otherwise the valve stem bending fault may occur. There are three types of connections: flange connection, threaded connection, and welded connection.
The opening and closing components of the globe valve are plug shaped valve discs, with a flat or conical sealing surface. The valve disc moves linearly along the centerline of the valve seat. The movement form of valve stem, commonly known as concealed stem, can also be used to control the flow of various types of fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal, and radioactive media through lifting and rotating stem. Therefore, this type of shut-off valve is very suitable for use as a cut-off, regulating, and throttling valve. Due to the relatively short opening or closing stroke of the valve stem and its highly reliable shut-off function, as well as the proportional relationship between the change in the valve seat opening and the stroke of the valve disc, this type of valve is very suitable for regulating flow.
