A desulfurization tower is a tower type equipment used for desulfurization treatment of industrial waste gas. The most widely used application of desulfurization tower was initially built with granite, which utilizes the principle of water film desulfurization and dust removal, also known as granite water film desulfurization and dust removal device or granite water film desulfurization and dust removal device.
The advantage is that it is easy to maintain and can achieve both dust removal and desulfurization (denitrification) effects by preparing different dust collectors. With the development of fiberglass technology, desulfurization towers are gradually being made of fiberglass. Compared to granite desulfurization towers, fiberglass desulfurization towers have lower costs, easier processing, rust resistance, and lighter weight, making them the development trend of desulfurization towers in the future. In addition, 316L stainless steel has three major advantages of corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and wear resistance, and is also one of the important trends in the development of desulfurization towers. After years of improvement, various types of desulfurization towers have been developed, including the Wenqiu Li type, swirl plate type, swirl column type, floating ball type, sieve plate type, and pneumatic emulsion type. The equipment technology is becoming increasingly mature, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Enterprises can choose different types according to their own needs.
Fiberglass desulfurization tower has the advantages of high effectiveness, strong corrosion resistance, high strength, low noise, low power consumption, small size, easy disassembly and maintenance, lightweight and durable, and beautiful appearance.
Requirements for fiberglass desulfurization tower in wet flue gas desulfurization:
The large-scale desulfurization device used for flue gas desulfurization in coal-fired power plants is called a desulfurization tower, while the small-scale desulfurization and dust removal device used for flue gas desulfurization in coal-fired industrial boilers and kilns is mostly called a desulfurization and dust removal device. In desulfurization towers and dust collectors, alkaline solution is used to wash the flue gas containing SO2 and chemically absorb the SO2 in the flue gas.
In order to enhance the absorption process, improve desulfurization efficiency, reduce equipment investment and operating costs, desulfurization towers and desulfurization dust collectors should meet the following basic requirements:
(1) There is a large contact area and a certain contact time between gas and liquid;
(2) Strong gas-liquid disturbance, low absorption resistance, and high absorption efficiency for SO2;
(3) Stable operation with appropriate flexibility;
(4) The pressure drop when the airflow passes through should be small;
(5) Simple structure, easy manufacturing and maintenance, low cost, and long service life;
(6) No scaling, no blockage, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant;
(7) Low energy consumption and no secondary pollution.
Precautions for using wet flue gas desulfurization tower:
1. It is strictly prohibited to use without water. Before starting the boiler, the water level in the pool should be checked first.
2. It is not allowed to have a large amount of dust accumulation under the cylinder causing blockage, and it should be checked once per shift.
3. The pH value of the water in the pool should be maintained between 8-12.
