Used for refining and separating various organic substances, the device has two towers, one is a glass tower without side ports, and the other is a glass tower with five side ports, equipped with a pendulum type reflux tower head, which can achieve continuous operation or intermittent operation, and can use both phase separation reflux and mixed phase reflux.

2. It can achieve operations such as reactive distillation, extraction distillation, and ordinary atmospheric and vacuum distillation.

3. The device can perform operations with different reflux ratios and investigate the impact of reflux ratios on product distribution and separation efficiency.

III Public facilities

Water: The device requires cooling water and comes with an interface connected to the tap water pipe. Tap water enters the condenser at the top of the tower through the device interface and is discharged.

Liquid: The device comes with a glass high-level tank. During the experiment, it enters the distillation tower kettle through a flow meter.

Electricity: Voltage AC220V, power 2KW, standard single-phase three wire system.

4 Main configuration and parameters

1. Double glass distillation tower with a diameter of 20mm, tower 1: height 1400mm, tower 2: height 1200mm. Stainless steel with a diameter of 2mm θ mesh ring packing, and a two-stage transparent conductive film heating and insulation (manually controlled) on the outer wall of the tower. The tower kettle has a capacity of 500ml. The two towers can be operated independently.

2. Dual preheaters and temperature control system, temperature and reflux control at the top of the tower, independent digital display of temperature measurement at the top and bottom of the tower.

3. Tower 1: Five side ports, Tower 2: No side ports, 2 sections of conductive film heating and insulation on the outer wall of the tower body (manually controlled), both Tower 1 and Tower 2 have temperature and reflux self-control, and the tower heads of Tower 1 and Tower 2 are snake tube condensers, pendulum reflux structures, and snake tube condenser oil-water phase separators.

4. Two peristaltic pumps with external control functions: speed control, direction control, and start stop control. Speed range: 0.1-100rpm. Speed resolution: 0.1rpm. Flow range: 0.07-380ml/min.

5.250ml high-level glass feeding bottle, LZB-2 rotor flowmeter: flow range 2.5-25ml/min, quantity 2 sets.

6. Vacuum system: including vacuum pump, buffer tank, valve, pressure gauge, etc.

7. Yudian AI518 temperature controller and Yudian AI704M temperature inspection instrument.

8. All operations, temperature, reflux ratio, and flow display, adjustment, and control are all carried out on the control screen panel.

9. Chint Electric: contactors, switches, leakage protection air switches.

10. The pipelines, fittings, quick connectors, and valves are all made of 304 stainless steel material, and the measurement and electrical equipment are on the experimental bench.
