Overvoltage suppressor is a new type of overvoltage protector, mainly used in the power grid of power generation, supply, and consumption enterprises. Used to protect electrical equipment such as transformers, switches, busbars, motors, etc., it can limit atmospheric overvoltage and operational overvoltage caused by various switches, and can reliably limit overvoltage between phases and relative to ground.

2、 Structure/feature

  1The structure adopts a combination of zinc oxide nonlinear resistor and discharge gap to protect each other. The discharge gap makes the charge rate of the zinc oxide resistor zero, and the nonlinear characteristics of zinc oxide cause the arc to extinguish immediately after the discharge gap is activated, without continuous current or waveform interruption. The discharge gap no longer undertakes the arc extinguishing task, which improves the service life of the product.

  2Under various voltage waveforms, the discharge value is equal and not affected by various operating overvoltage waveforms. The overvoltage protection value is accurate and the protection performance is excellent.

  3The four-star connection method is used to reliably limit the overvoltage between phases and relative to ground. It can greatly reduce the phase to phase overvoltage. Compared with conventional lightning arresters, the phase to phase overvoltage is greatly reduced, and the reliability of protection is greatly improved.

  4Adopting a silicone rubber jacket and a high-voltage cable external structure, it has the advantages of easy installation, strong sealing, small size, and shock (vibration) resistance. It can be directly installed on the handcart chassis of the switchgear or in the transformer room.
