Overview
The new generation PPB level optical dissolved oxygen sensor from Frog Vision is based on the principle of fluorescence quenching. Blue light is irradiated onto the fluorescent oxygen molecule probe to excite red light. As oxygen molecules act as quenching agents for the fluorescent probe, they can carry away energy. Therefore, the time and intensity of the excited red light are inversely proportional to the concentration of oxygen molecules. The dissolved oxygen sensor calculates the concentration of oxygen molecules by measuring the phase difference between the excited red light and the reference light, and combining it with a temperature compensated 3D calibration data model.
