A metering pump is a special volumetric pump that can meet various strict process requirements, with a flow rate that can be infinitely adjusted within the range of 0-100%, and is used to transport liquids (especially corrosive liquids). A metering pump is also known as a quantitative pump or a proportional pump. The metering pump belongs to the reciprocating positive displacement pump, which is used for precise metering and usually requires the stability accuracy of the metering pump to not exceed ± 1%. With the continuous development of modern industry towards automated operation and remote automatic control, the advantages of strong compatibility and wide adaptability to media (liquids) of metering pumps are particularly prominent.
Principle characteristics
Pump structure: The pump consists of three parts: motor, transmission box, and cylinder body. The transmission box components are composed of a turbine worm mechanism, a stroke adjustment mechanism, and a crank connecting rod mechanism; By rotating the adjustment handwheel to achieve high adjustment stroke, the eccentricity of the moving shaft can be changed to achieve the purpose of changing the stroke of the plunger (piston).
The cylinder components consist of a pump head, a suction valve group, a discharge valve group, a plunger, and packing seals.
Working principle: The motor drives the worm through the coupling and reduces the speed of the worm wheel, causing the main shaft and eccentric wheel to rotate and move back and forth. The sliding adjustment seat of the bow shaped connecting rod is driven by the eccentric wheel. When the plunger moves towards the rear dead center, a vacuum gradually forms in the pump chamber, and the suction valve opens to suck in liquid; When the plunger moves forward to the dead center, the suction valve closes and the discharge valve opens, and the liquid is discharged as the plunger moves further. During the reciprocating operation of the pump, continuous pressure and quantitative discharge of liquid is formed.
The flow regulation of the flow control pump relies on rotating the adjustment handwheel to drive the adjustment screw to rotate, thereby changing the spacing between the bow shaped connecting rods and changing the stroke of the plunger (piston) in the pump chamber to determine the flow rate. Adjusting the scale of the handwheel determines the plunger stroke, with an accuracy rate of 95%.
Characteristics of the pump:
1. The pump has superior performance, among which the diaphragm metering pump absolutely does not leak, has high safety performance, precise metering and conveying, the flow rate can be adjusted from zero to the maximum rated value range, and the pressure can be selected freely from normal pressure to the maximum allowable range.
2. The adjustment is intuitive and clear, with smooth operation, no noise, small size, light weight, easy maintenance, and can be used in parallel.
