There are many methods for water treatment, but the most important, advanced, and suitable water treatment technology is ion exchange technology. The ion exchange resin used in advanced water purifiers is usually sulfonate type sodium ion exchange resin. After passing through the resin, the raw water to be treated can adsorb harmful impurity ions (mainly calcium Ca, magnesium Mg ions) in the resin, achieving the goal of purifying water quality. With the increase of water treatment capacity, more and more impurities are adsorbed, and the adsorption capacity of the resin will gradually decrease. To remove the impurities adsorbed by the resin (mainly calcium Ca, magnesium Mg ions), sodium ions (Na) need to be used to replace the impurities adsorbed by the resin (mainly calcium Ca, magnesium Mg ions) through ion exchange by backwashing, thereby restoring the adsorption capacity of the ion exchange resin.
