1、 Overview of biological contact oxidation tower

The use of biochemical methods to treat organic wastewater has many advantages such as low energy consumption, low cost, and no secondary pollution, making it the most economical and effective treatment method. The SZI series biological contact oxidation method combines the common advantages of sludge treatment and biofilm treatment. In addition, it can use advanced combination fillers and achieve high COD and BOD removal rates after biofilm formation. Therefore, it has developed rapidly in recent years.

2、 Scope of use of SZI series biological contact oxidation tower

1. The treatment of domestic sewage, urban sewage, food processing sewage, slaughter sewage, and brewing sewage.

2. The treatment of organic wastewater from printing and dyeing, textile, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, leather, papermaking, and other industries.

3. Dephosphorization and nitrogen treatment of wastewater.

4. The treatment of organic wastewater with BOD less than or equal to 2000mg/L. The highest BOD removal rate can reach 90%, and the highest COD removal rate can reach 85%.

3、 Working principle of SZI series biological contact oxidation tower

Biological contact oxidation tower: It consists of a tower body, packing, aeration system, and inlet system. Wastewater enters the oxidation tower from the bottom and comes into contact with the biofilm on the packing material. Through microbial oxidation, organic matter in the wastewater is decomposed to achieve the goal of purifying water quality.

The tower body is made of high-quality steel plates, and the anti-corrosion material is ultra long effect chlorosulfonated polyethylene. The packing material is polypropylene, and the anti-corrosion period is 5-8 years.

The process of hanging bacterial film on fillers should follow a strict process, starting with selecting efficient bacterial strains and achieving the functions of hanging film, training microorganisms for oxidation, and decomposing organic matter under artificial conditions, in order to achieve normal operation.

Aeration is achieved by using a Roots blower through a diffuser type aeration head, with uniform small bubbles to increase dissolved oxygen in water, providing for the growth, reproduction, and oxidation of aerobic microorganisms, and decomposing organic matter in water.

4、 Characteristics of SZI series biological contact oxidation tower

1. The tower is equipped with a large area of packing material, on which a biological community composed of various types of microorganisms is trained and nurtured, which has the characteristics of a biological filter; Due to the immersion of biofilm in water, it requires aeration and oxygen supply similar to the activated sludge process, thus possessing the characteristics of activated sludge. The ambassador's contact with the biofilm on the packing in the oxidation tank is evenly and densely distributed, which enhances the contact area between sewage and microorganisms. So, it greatly improves the processing capacity and impact resistance. The BOD5 load is more than three times that of the activated sludge process, and the amount of sludge produced is small.

2. For different types of wastewater, specialized bacteria are domesticated to form membranes, making the equipment more capable of application and achieving higher BOD removal rates.

3. Adopting counterflow to scientifically and effectively avoid short flow phenomena in water distribution, water collection, and oxygen supply, ensuring the quality of effluent water.

4. The cylindrical contact oxidation tower has high oxygen utilization efficiency and occupies less space when used alone.

5. Choose semi soft fillers with a larger specific surface area to achieve uniform film coating, no clumping, and durability.
