Special Pipe Testing Institution Quality Testing Material Testing Center
The Clear Analysis Technology Research Institute can provide wall thickness deviation detection, ellipticity measurement, tensile strength testing, chemical composition analysis and other testing services related to special pipes. It also provides CMA/CNAS qualification testing reports and has a well-equipped and strong project testing team.
Special tube testing cycle
Within 7-10 working days after the sample is received (can be expedited), there may be changes based on the sample and its testing items/methods. Specific information needs to be consulted with the engineer.
Special tube testing process
1. Communication requirements: Understand the items to be tested and determine the scope of testing;
2. Quotation: Provide a quotation based on the testing items and requirements;
3. Signing: Sign a contract and confidentiality agreement to begin testing;
4. Complete testing: The testing cycle may vary depending on the sample and its testing items/methods. Please consult a testing consultant for specific details;
5. Provide testing reports and provide post service;
Special tube testing related projects
1. Wall thickness deviation detection: Ultrasonic thickness gauge is used to measure the wall thickness value of the entire section, with an allowable deviation of 0.1mm (DN ≤ 300mm)
2. Ellipticity measurement: The three-dimensional laser scanner measures the difference between the cross-section and the minimum diameter, with a control value of ≤ 1.5% of the nominal diameter
3. Tensile strength test: The universal testing machine measures Rm ≥ 520MPa (stainless steel pipe) or ≥ 380MPa (titanium alloy pipe)
4. Chemical composition analysis: Direct reading spectrometer detects Cr (17-19%), Ni (8-10.5%) and other element contents with a deviation of 0.15%
5. Surface defect detection: Eddy current detector identifies crack/folding defects with a depth of ≥ 0.05mm
Scope related to special tube testing
1. Stainless steel special-shaped pipe: ASTMA312TP316L special-shaped pipe fittings (elbows/tees/reducers)
2. Titanium alloy precision tube: TA18 cold drawn seamless tube for aviation (diameter 6-120mm)
3. High temperature alloy coil: Inconel625 spiral coil (working temperature ≤ 980 ℃)
4. Aluminum alloy special-shaped tube: 6061-T6 thin-walled square tube (wall thickness 0.8-3mm)
5. Composite winding pipe: Carbon fiber/epoxy resin composite pressure pipe (burst pressure ≥ 35MPa)
Methods related to special tube testing
ASTME8/E8M-21 "Tensile Testing Methods for Metallic Materials": specifies the testing requirements for specimen gauge lengths of 4D or 5D
GB/T4336-2016 "Spark Source Atomic Emission Spectroscopy Analysis Method for Carbon Steel and Medium Low Alloy Steel": Analysis of 12 Elements including C and Si
GB/T5777-2019 "Ultrasonic Testing Method for Seamless Steel Tubes": Comparison of Sample Tubes with Artificial Defect Depth of 0.5-3.0mm
ASMEB31.3-2022 "Process Piping Specification": The allowable deviation of ovality for pressure pipelines is 1% and shall not exceed 3mm

The above is an introduction to special tube testing. The Clearing Technology Research Institute is committed to product research and development, component analysis, formula reduction, material chemical testing, industrial diagnostic failure analysis, simulation calculation testing, large-scale instrument testing, reliability verification and other technical services.
