At present, the main methods for treating stone wastewater both domestically and internationally include physical treatment, chemical treatment, and biochemical treatment. These methods separate and remove pollutants from wastewater, recycle them, or convert them into harmless substances to purify the water. The main characteristic of wastewater in the stone processing industry is high suspended solids content.
1. Settlement method
Most existing stone manufacturers generally use sedimentation methods, including natural sedimentation and coagulation sedimentation, to remove pollutants. There are many options for pool types, such as horizontal or vertical flow. The current stone wastewater treatment process is shown in the figure.
After being collected through the pipes and channels in the factory area, the stone wastewater enters the regulating tank for homogenization and uniformity. After adding coagulants and coagulants, it reacts in the reaction tank to produce alum flowers. Through sedimentation in the sedimentation tank, most of the suspended solids settle to the bottom of the tank, and the supernatant enters the clean water tank. It then enters the production workshop through the reuse water system for reuse or standard discharge. This treatment process occupies a large area, has incomplete treatment effect, and is prone to secondary pollution.
2. Integrated sewage treatment equipment method
Regarding the stone wastewater, which mainly contains stone powder (composed of SiO2, CaO, CaCO3, etc.), a small amount of diamond particles, abrasive particles, and flushing mud and sand. Compared to mill wastewater, the water quality of sawmill and edge cutting machine wastewater is more similar, with coarser particles and a small amount of organic coolant (mainly saponification substances, Taikoo oil, etc.) in the wastewater.
