Common Problems of Taiwan TBI Linear Guides in Machine Tools
The parts that support and guide the movement of moving components along a certain trajectory are called guide rail pairs, also commonly referred to as guide rails. The motion trajectory of moving parts can be straight, circular, or curved. Rolling circular guides can be used as rolling thrust bearings, while curved guides are rarely used in machinery. The guide rail is a very important component in machines, especially in machine tools.
Common problems with machine tool guide rails during use
1. The machine tool guide rail is rusted and has rust spots.
2. The machine tool guide rail runs smoothly, with severe wear and scratches on the rail.
3. The guide rail oil is easy to fall off
4. The guide rail vibrates greatly, produces abnormal noise, and is prone to slipping and crawling.
5. There is a lot of oil stains on both ends of the guide rail, which affects processing.
cause
1. The quality of the guide rail oil is not up to standard, and its rust prevention performance is poor.
2. The extreme pressure resistance and lubricity of the guide rail oil are poor, and scratches on the guide rail may be caused by impurities mixed in.
3. The viscosity of the selected guide rail oil does not match the machine tool, and the viscosity is too low.
4. The lubrication performance of the guide rail oil is poor, the oil quality is poor, and it does not contain special additives for guide rails.
5. Too much rail oil added; Poor quality can easily produce sludge; The viscosity of the oil is too high, resulting in poor adhesion and water separation of the oil.
Solution
1. Refer to the machine tool equipment manufacturer's recommendation to use guide rail oil with the corresponding viscosity index.
2. From the perspective of machine tools, when selecting lubricating oil for machine tool guide rails, lubrication should be considered, while also meeting the effectiveness of the guide rails. The lubricating oil used for the guide rails should have good crawling and wear resistance requirements. Tips for selecting lubricating oil for guide rails:
(1) The lubricating oil used for the guide rail should not only meet the lubrication requirements of the guide rail, but also serve as the hydraulic medium for the hydraulic system
For machine tools such as coordinate boring machines, the viscosity of the guide rail oil (50 ℃) should be chosen to be higher (40-90mm2/s); Like various types of grinders, the guide rail lubricating oil is often supplied by the hydraulic system, which has high requirements and must be met. At this time, the viscosity of the guide rail hydraulic lubricating oil (50 ℃) should be selected to be lower (20-40mm2/s), which is the viscosity required by the hydraulic system.
(2) Select the viscosity of the guide rail oil based on the sliding speed and average pressure, and test the corresponding guide rail oil based on the actual usage speed and average pressure.
3. Adjust the automatic oil addition interval and the amount of oil added to the machine tool guide rail.
4. Timely clean and maintain the oil stains and impurities on the machine tool guide rails.
5. For guide rail oil products, it is recommended to replace them with regular manufacturers' national standard guide rail oil from the perspective of machine tools.
